Lakeland Cat Club Show 19-06-2010
My thanks to my steward, Liz Prescott, for her company and excellent handling of the cats. Also to Ed and the Lakeland committee for inviting me back to judge at their show on another glorious June day. A real pleasure to be allowed to sign tickets at this show who very kindly thought of me last year when they need a replacement judge - thank guys.
Open Classes:
AC Burmese Champion Male
An excellent class with 3 lovely lads all very well behaved impeccably and were privilege to judge today.
GRCC Mr & Mrs Barrett’s CH ROSSIKHAN URSA MAJOR 27c M 11-06-2008 This boy has a superb expression – his eye beguile you from first sight. He has large and lustrous eyes, upper lids have very good slants to the nose and generous rounding to lower lids, they are set well apart and are pale chartreuse in colour. They really did have a superb expression! He has a short wide wedge, it tapers well to a blunt muzzle and has a level if messy bite. Gentle rounding between ears that are a good size for balanced and are set well apart. He has a pleasing contour to his upper face. His skull has good depth, a rounded brow, his nose break has very good definition and he has a straight nose line. His lower jaw has reasonable depth and is correctly set in an aligning vertical plane to the end of his nose, chin could be a fraction fuller for perfection. His medium sized body has good weight and muscle tone, he has a strong chest and straight back. His limbs are in proportion and he has good stance and oval shaped paws. His tail is a fraction short for balance, it tapers well to a paint brush end. His coat is very short and has good texture, it is a pleasing pink toned lilac. He has a super relaxed show temperament, was very affectionate and was a pleasure to handle.
Reserve GRCC Mrs Ferguson’s GRCH TEAROHA AUGUSTUS BROWN 27 M 21-07-2008 Another charming relaxed lad. He has quite large eyes, his upper lids have good slants to the nose and acceptable rounding to lower lids, they are set well apart and are pale chartreuse in colour with a darker inner ring. He has a short, medium width wedge, it tapers to a fairly blunt muzzle and has a level bite. Gentle rounding between ears that have good size, are balanced and set well apart. His skull has reasonable depth, a rounded brow, his nose break has good definition but he has a bump on his nose which interrupts the line. His lower jaw has acceptable depth and was set back marginally. His large body has very good weight and muscle tone, he has a strong chest and straight back. His limbs are in proportion and he has a good stance. He has pleasing spoon shaped paws. His tail is just short to balance and tapers well to a paint brush end. His coat is reasonably short and has super silky texture, it is a pleasing chestnut brown and very sleek. He has a lovely temperament and was quite the charmer!
Lilac Burmese Adult
1st CC not awarded Mrs Coulter’s ROMID SUMMERSUN SABRINA 27c F 12-09-2009 Sorry to disappoint but she really was smaller than all of my kittens and lacked sufficient maturity to complete for CCs . She has reasonable sized eyes which have acceptable definition to the upper lids which she tended to round when excited and good fullness to lower lids, they are also set well and are pale yellow in colour, with an inner chartreuse ring. Face on she has a fairly short medium width wedge which tapers to a blunt muzzle and has a level bite. She needs more rounding between her ears which are set very well apart. Her profile shows medium depth to her skull. She has a rather flat brow. Her nose break was good but I would prefer greater definition. She a small bump on her nose line, her lower jaw lacks adequate depth and recedes. All in all her head lacks width and is still very much a work in progress. Her body has good weight for her size. She has a straight back and a strong chest. Her stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were dainty and elegant. She has spoon shaped paws. Her tail just balances and tapers to a rather blunt end. Her coat is still babyish and was rather woolly today, it is pale lilac with mushroom tone in colour. She was a delight to handle, rather chatty but purred lots – she had good condition and was presented well.
BOB Mrs Akehursts CH CHIARO ZINZERO 27 d M 12-06-2009 Unfortunately a little apprehensive today and not showing to his best advantage. He has quite large eyes, he was tending to hood his upper lids today but he does have good rounding to lower lids, they are set well apart and are golden yellow in colour. He has a short wide wedge, it tapers well to a blunt muzzle and has a level bite. Gentle rounding between ears that are good for size, balanced and are set well apart. His skull has quite good depth, a gently rounded brow which appeared marginally long, his nose break has very good definition and he has a straight nose line. His lower jaw has reasonable depth and is correctly set in an aligning vertical plane to the end of his nose, chin could be deeper for perfection. His large body has good weight and muscle tone, he has a strong chest and straight back. His limbs are in proportion and have good stance. He has oval shaped paws. His tail balances and it tapers well to a paint brush end. His coat is quite short and has good texture in general although there were a few harsh spots along his back, it is a very pleasing rich warm red in tone which I really like. Unfortunately just a little tense today and I could not encourage him to relax enough although I did spend quite some time with him.
1st & BOB Mr & Mrs Williams MOLYNMEUX DINYDEUX 27b F 25-10-2009 This kitten has well balanced type and was looking rather lovely today with a super expression. She has large and lustrous eyes which have good definition to the upper lids and superb fullness to lower lids, they are also set very well and are pale yellow in colour. Face on she has a short wide wedge which tapers to a blunt muzzle and has a level bite. She has lovely rounding between her ears which are set very well apart, they are nicely balanced, wide in the base and have rounded tips. She has a very typical contour to her upper face – lovely butterfly wing effect. Her profile shows good depth to her skull. She has pleasing rounding to her brow. Her nose break was very good. She has a straight nose line, her lower jaw has good depth and it is correctly aligned to the end of her nose in a straight vertical plane. Her body has good weight for her size and has pleasing muscle tone. She has a straight back and a strong chest. Her stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were dainty and elegant. She has spoon shaped paws. Her tail balances and tapers very well to a paint brush tip from a medium base. Her coat was short and has a superb silky texture. It is a pleasing honey tone chocolate with minimal contrast to her mask and ears. She was shown in excellent condition and handled well although she was a tad wriggly, she did enjoy a cuddle from me and my steward.
2nd Miss Jones SIGISMUND BEWITCHED 27b F 27-10-2009 A very well grown kitten. She has quite large eyes which have good definition to the upper lids but could take more fullness to lower lids, they are set well and are muddy golden yellow in colour, with a darker chartreuse inner rim. Face on she has a short wide wedge which tapers to a blunt muzzle and has a level bite. She has pleasing rounding between her ears which are set well apart, they are nicely balanced, wide in the base and have rounded tips. Her profile shows reasonably good depth to her skull. She has pleasing rounding to her brow. Her nose break was good. She has a straight nose line which just falls away a trifle at the end, her lower jaw has good depth, but I would just like a fraction more for perfection, her chin is correctly aligned to the end of her nose in a straight vertical plane. Her body has good weight for her size and has excellent muscle tone. She has a straight back and a strong chest. Her stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were dainty and elegant. She has neat oval paws. Her tail balances and tapers very well to a rounded tip from a medium base. Her coat was quite short and has a silky texture. It is a darker chocolate than our first placed kitten but with very minimal contrast consequently, there were a few hints of ghosting to her legs. She was delightfully playful youngster who handled very well and was a pleasure to meet.
1st & BOB Mr Taylor’s RAWEKE GOODGOLLY MISS MOLLY 27c F 17-12-2009 A rather shy youngster. She has quite large eyes, she tends to hood the upper lids and has fullness to lower lids, they are set very well and are muddy yellow in colour, with inner chartreuse rims. Face on she has a short wide wedge which tapers to a blunt muzzle and has a level bite. She has gentle rounding between her ears which are set very well apart, they are nicely balanced, wide in the base and have rounded tips. Her profile shows reasonably good depth to her skull. She has pleasing rounding to her brow. Her nose break was good but I would prefer greater definition, but there is time for that to develop. She has a straight nose line, her lower jaw has reasonably good depth, but I would just a fraction more for perfection although it was also set back slightly. Her body has very good weight for her size and has excellent muscle tone. She has a straight back and a strong chest. Her stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were dainty and elegant. She has spoon shaped paws. Her tail balances and tapers very well to a paint brush tip from a medium base. Her coat was reasonably short and has a silky texture. It is medium toned mushroom lilac with casting evident. Although a little shy she handled very well and enjoyed a big cuddle.
Brown Burmese Neuter
2 Considered for BoB only - whilst he was delightful to handle and clearly enjoying his day out she was rather ill tempered and not having a good time today. Eventually I had to follow the age old mantra “type above everything”
BoB Dr Giles’ CH & GRPR RAWEKE MIRROR IMAGE 27 FN 20-08-2007 – In rather a foul mood, large and lustrous eye of pale yellow with excellent shape which were only enhanced by her mood. She has a short wide wedge, a level bite and a blunt muzzle. She has good rounding between her well proportioned ears which add well to the upper contour of her head. Her head has good depth, rounded brow, good nose break, straight nose, jaw has reasonable depth and aligns correctly. Well filled body, strong chest and back, limbs in proportion with oval paw tail balance to a paint brush end. Deep rich brown glossy cat which is soft and silky. Shame about her attack of the grumps today!
Cream Burmese Neuter
BOB Miss Coulter’s GRPR JACOU BORNTOBOOGIE BEAU 27f MN 03-08-2008 A very relaxed and gentle chap. Quite large eye of pale yellow. He has a short wide wedge, a level bite and a blunt muzzle. Good rounding between his ears. His head shows reasonably good depth in profile, rounded brow, good nose break, straight nose but rather shallow jaw. Well filled large body, strong chest and back, limbs in proportion having oval paws. Tail balances and tapers to a paint brush end with a rather irregular final vertebrae. A rather hot cream coat which although generally was short in length it was rather harsh in paces. A pleasure to meet today and he loves every minutes of being handled too!

Manchester & District Cat Club Show 1st May 2010
My thanks to Dorothy and the Manchester & District committee for their kind invitation to judge at their very friendly and happy show. I had a lovely day in my first outing as a full judge. Thank you for kind present and the traditional Lancashire lunch!
Class 408a Chocolate Burmese Kitten Male
1st Mrs Hall’s SAMADHI SIN WITH A GRIN 27b M 8-1-2010 (3 months 3 weeks and 3 days) A very sweet young chap who was little out of balance today, no doubt due to growth spurts. He has a rather gentle expression to his fairly large eyes. They have fully rounded lower lids yet the upper lids were a touch hooded for my taste, but they had a gentle slant to the nose. They are well set in his head and are golden yellow in colour with hints of inner chartreuse rims. Face on he has a reasonably short wide wedge which was a little pinched today. He has a level bite. He has good rounding to the top of his head. His ears are set reasonably well apart and are in good proportion for the size of his head. They are wide in the base with rounded tips. His skull shows reasonably good depth in profile. It has a rounded brow, but his nose break lacks definition at present and his nose had a wee bump and fell away slightly at the end. His lower jaw has acceptable depth, but I would prefer more and it was slightly receding. He has a solid well muscled body with a well rounded chest and a straight back. His legs are elegant yet sturdy and in proportion to his body, with taller hind legs, they have neat oval paws. His tail balances to the shoulder and tapers to a rounded end from a medium base. His coat still has a kitten soft texture to it and is quite short. It was a warm, yet a pale chocolate with minimal contrast in his mask and ears. A very gentle young man who was shown in super condition and purred away very nicely for me this morning.
Class 408b Chocolate Burmese Kitten Female
1st & BoB Mr & Mrs Williams’ MOLYNMEUX DINKYDEUX 27b F 25-10-2009 (6 months 6 days) Also my nomination and final choice for BOV Burmese Kitten, I was very pleased to see she became overall Best Burmese today – congratulations to her breeder-owners. A bit of a wriggler who had lots to say for herself this morning, but she soon settled down nicely and allowed me to assess her. Looking rather lovely today. She has large and lustrous eyes which have good definition to the upper lids and superb fullness to lower lids when she settles down, they are also set very well and are golden yellow in colour. Face on she has a short wide wedge which tapers to a blunt muzzle and has a level bite. She has lovely rounding between her ears which are set very well apart, they are nicely balanced, wide in the base and have rounded tips. She has a very typical contour to her upper face. Her profile shows good depth to her skull. She has pleasing rounding to her brow. Her nose break was good but I would prefer greater definition still, a straight nose line, her lower jaw has good depth, her chin is strong and it is correctly aligned to the end of her nose in a straight vertical plane. Her medium body has good weight for her size and has excellent muscle tone. She has a straight back and a strong chest. Her stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were slender and elegant. She has neat spoon shaped paws. Her tail balances and tapers very well to a paint brush tip from a medium base. Her coat is short and has a superb satin texture for a kitten - a very mature feel. It is a warm honey toned chocolate with minimal contrast to her mask and ears. She was shown in excellent condition and handled well once she settled – I wondered if she might be starting her first call.
2nd Dr Collin’s AUREUS BEWITCHED 27b F 18-01-2010 (3 months 1 week & 6 days) Very babyish little person. She has quite large and lustrous eyes, the upper lids were rather full and rounded today yet she had very good fullness to lower lids and they are set very well apart. They are golden yellow in colour. Face on she has a short wedge which is lacking width at present. She has a level bite, but was teething today. She has pleasing rounding between her ears which are set very well apart, they are rather large for her head at present and dominate somewhat; wide in the base and having rounded tips. Her profile shows good depth to her skull. She has good rounding to her brow yet in profile it was a tad long. She lacks definition in her nose break due to her teething no doubt and has a mostly straight nose line, whilst her lower jaw has reasonable depth I would like a little more for perfection, it is correctly aligned to the end of her nose in a straight vertical plane. Her medium body has good weight for her dainty size and had excellent muscle tone. She has a straight back and a strong chest. Her stance shows correctly taller hind legs, all of her limbs were slender and elegant. She has neat oval paws. Her tail balances and tapers very well to a paint brush tip from a medium base. Her coat was short but felt a little harsh along her spine line today; it is pale chocolate in colour with minimal contrast to her mask and ears. She was shown in excellent condition and was a little shy to start off with, but very sweet and gentle. Showing promise, I will be watching out to see how she develops.

Open Classes:
Class 406 Brown Burmese Kitten
1st & BoB Mrs Cook’s EGLINTON EROL BROWN 27 M 14-07-2009
A rather lively character. He has medium-large eyes which have pleasing definition to the upper lids and would benefit from greater fullness to lower lids, they are set very well. They are golden yellow in colour at present. Face on he has a short wide wedge which is a little pinched at present. He has a level bite and appears to be teething. He has gentle rounding between his ears which are set very well apart; they balance well at present; they are wide in the base and having rounded tips. His profile shows medium depth to his skull. He has gentle rounding to his brow. He has a pleasing nose break and his nose line is interrupted by a small bump, his lower jaw is really too shallow and is also somewhat set back which disturbs the balance of his chin when viewed face on. His body has good weight for his size, which is currently a little smaller than I would expect for his age. He has a straight back and a strong chest. His stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were slender and elegant. He has large oval paws. His tail balances and tapers very well to a paint brush tip, it was a little whippy though. His coat has a somewhat coarse texture and appears to be a little ticked in places – hopefully this will grow out. It is light tone brown at present and he does have some bars to all four legs. He was shown in otherwise excellent condition. He was very confident but quite the wriggler.
Class 409a Lilac Kitten Male
1st & BoB Miss Campbell’s MICIASALI YOSHUA 27c M 23-08-2009
Super expression on this sweet youngster. He has large and lustrous eyes which have excellent definition to the upper lids and super fullness to lower lids and are set very well. They are pale yellow in colour in this show hall. Face on he has a short wide wedge which tapers to a blunt muzzle. He has a level bite but his gums looked a little swollen. He has lovely rounding between his ears; they are a little out of balance at present being a somewhat too large for his head but I’m sure his head will catch up soon; they are wide in the base and have rounded tips. His profile shows good depth to his skull. He has good rounding to his brow. He has a well defined nose break and a straight nose line, whilst his lower jaw has good depth I would like a little more for absolute perfection his chin could benefit from this. It is correctly aligned to the end of his nose in a straight vertical plane. His long body has good weight for his size and excellent muscle tone. He has a straight back and a strong chest. His stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were slender and elegant. He has neat oval paws. His tail balances and tapers very well to a paint brush tip from a medium base. His coat has a super fine texture and satin like feel to it although it was a little bit kitten-long at present but lies very close to his body. It is mid toned lilac with slight pink casting in the show lighting. He was shown in excellent condition. He was very confident and seemed to enjoy being handled today – a charming young man.

Miscellaneous Classes:
Class 676 AoV Foreign Adult (4 entered)
1st Miss Dyke’s INYANGA INSTANT KARMA 68 43bsq F 30-10-2008 BCR Chocolate Silver Shaded Tiffanie
An extremely attractive young lady with a superb expression. Large & lustrous eyes set well apart with correct shape, pleasing slants to upper lids and generous rounding to her lower lids. They are golden yellow in colour. Face on showing a short wide wedge which tapers to a pleasing blunt muzzle. She has a level bite. She has gentle rounding between her ears which were set well apart, they are a very good size, wide at the base with rounded tips. In profile she has quite good depth to her skull, a rounded brow; her nose break has very good definition, straight nose line and rather short. Her lower jaw has quite good depth and is correctly aligned to the end of her nose, her chin has quite good depth. She has a medium sized body, with very good weight and muscle tone, a strong chest and a straight back. Her legs are nicely in proportion to her body having taller hind legs and neat oval shaped paws. Her tail balances and tapers well from a medium base. Her Burmese colour restriction chocolate is very warm over her pristine silver ground, her mantle of shading descends down her flanks well. She has clear thumb prints to her ears, an M to her forehead, a scarab and a rather faint necklace. She has good solid hocks to her hind legs and showing a diffused spine line along her back but having solid tail tip. Her coat felt like silk to the touch and was of medium length and very close lying to her body, she has attractive ear streamers, a minimal ruff and toe tufts with a fringe to her carriage. She was shown superb condition and behaved very well in fact she has quite a charming relaxed nature and was a pleasure to meet.
2nd Mrs Hamilton’s CH INYANGA RAFAEL 68 43sq M 17-04-2008 BCR Brown Silver Shaded Tiffanie
A lovely lad who is well grown. Large & lustrous eyes set well apart with correct shape, pleasing slants to upper lids but a tendency to hood them over a trifle and very generous rounding to her lower lids. They are pale chartreuse in colour and have super rims which extra definition. Face on showing a short and very wide wedge which tapers to a pleasing blunt muzzle. He has a level bite. He has super rounding between his ears which were set very well apart, for me they are a just a little bit small for his head, though wide in the base with rounded tips. In profile he has reasonably good depth to his skull, a pleasing rounded brow; a good nose break, straight nose line. His lower jaw has reasonable depth but I would prefer greater depth for perfection and is set back slightly, weakening his chin a trifle. He has a large, well grown body with very good weight and muscle tone, a strong chest and a straight back. His legs are in proportion to his body having taller hind legs and spoon shaped paws. His tail balances and tapers well from a slightly thick base. His Burmese colour restriction brown shading was a little cool in tone over an immaculate silver ground but his very lightly shaded mantle descended down his flanks well. He has thumb prints to his ears, an M to his forehead, a scarab, spectacle marks and a necklace. He has good solid hocks to his hind legs and showing a diffused spine line along his back but having solid tail tip. His coat felt pleasingly silky to the touch and was of medium length and it was a trifle thick in undercoat at present but he had excellent ear streamers, a pleasing ruff and toe tufts with a flowing fringe to his carriage. He was shown superb condition and behaved very well. A pleasure to handle!
3rd Messers Robertson & Richardson’s GRCH ESANES ETOURDISSANT 76 20 F 22-04-2008
Beautiful girl just a trifle tense.
Class 686 AV Foreign Limit Adult
1st Ms Mather’s MAKIMA DESERT ROSE 23 F 03-10-2008
A very attract girl with lovely muscle tone and shown in super condition. Lovely balanced head with pleasing golden yellow eyes, good for set and shape. Level bite though missing a few incisors. Ears also set well and she has a nice profile. Elegant body and limbs, her tail balances well. Super ticking, very clear and distinct banding. Pleasing markings to head no necklace and very pleasing usual colours with excellent drag to her coat. Handled very well.
Another pleasing girl with such a sweet face! Super expression across her eyes though head seemed to lack depth a tad at present. She has a nicely grown body for her age with slender elegant limbs and tail to balance. Her ticking was less distinct than I had hoped for but was a super rich sorrel colour. Pleasing coat but lacking drag at present. She had a super temperament – I could have wasted hours playing with her – will watch her development with interest.
1st Miss Johnson’s CAIRNICATS EBONY 16a15 F 08-08-2009
Sweet baby girl. She had a nice broad wedge and nicely shaped eyes, in profile her head could take more profile dip for my preference. She had nicely set ears that are appropriate in size for her age. Her jet black coat was rather close lying and a trifle long. She handled very nicely
Unfortunately this young man was a tad upset today. I felt he lacked width in the muzzle giving him a somewhat fine look and had a rather straight profile, possible due to his mood his eye set did not please, neither did he hold his ears well. Again his jet back coat was rather close lying at present.
1st Mrs Stewart’s WAKANDA CHASKA 80L17 MN 24-03-2006
A very charming exhibit. Super depth to head, good nose break, large and expressive pale lemon yellow eyes. Super well grown body and strong limbs and tail to balance. Coat had excellent length, super texture and was very well presented. A bit of a character I suspect!
This exhibit had delightful bright but deep blue eyes that positively sparkled. She has a nicely grown body and tail to balance. Her coat was good for texture and length and her darker blue areas around her plume and tail were set off well against her pristine white undercoat. Unfortunately the marks to her face were not quite in balance and let her down a trifle.
1st Mrs Robertson’s ABYGLEN ANYLA 23c 17-08-2004
She has a very pleasing head with a lovely broad muzzle, pale golden yellow eyes which were set well and had good shape. Her body was very well gown and her tail was a tad short to balance. Her ticking was a tad diffuse, but her facial markings were very pleasing. She was rather shy today and preferred to be handled in her pen.
1st Mrs Sinclair’s CLOUDBORN KITERUNNER 33a 30d MN 01-04-2008
A rather cheeky face to this exhibit. Good width at cheeks and reasonable stop, chin could take wee bit more depth for perfection. Super expression to his eyes – very wicked! Level bite. His body was a trifle long but had good muscle tone and ample coverage, but his coat lacked enough resistance to me – a trifle soft. Tail just short to balance but lovely slender elegant limbs. Handled nicely and was well presented.
A well grown youngster who is not long adult. Large & lustrous eyes set well apart with correct shape, correct slants to upper lids but somewhat hooded and very generous rounding to his lower lids. They are golden yellow in colour. Face on showing a short wide wedge tapering to a blunt muzzle. He had a level bite. He has a rather flat top of head his ears are set well apart as they might on his rather narrow head, they are a little too large in size as yet, wide at the base, with rounded tips. In profile he has reasonable depth to his skull, with a flat brow; his nose break was acceptable but I would prefer more definition, he has a straight nose which is a trifle long. His lower jaw has reasonable depth but I would prefer it to be deeper and was receding all in all weakening his chin. He has a long somewhat rangy body, a strong chest and a straight back, his legs in proportion to his body having taller hind legs and oval paws. His tail balances and tapered well from a medium base to a paint brush tip. His BCR blue, heavily shaded mantle was rather cool in tone, it covered his flanks well and his ground colour was a pristine silver. He has thumb prints to his ears, a scarab to his head and an M to the forehead, spectacle lines and a broken necklace. He has smudges to his inner fore legs, a strong hocks to his hind legs and clear spine line descending well down his tail. His coat felt like silk to the touch and was a trifle longer in length than preferred, but is very close lying to his body. Shown in excellent condition and was little upset but manageable.
1st Mrs Fleming’s UK & IGRPR SHOELINA ZELENSKY 16a MN 09-05-2006
Just superb; I understand he went on to become Overall BOV Foreign – well done! He has a very strong head which simply screamed Russian type to me, super shaped olive green eyes, board muzzle with nicely displayed whisker pads, pleasing dip in profile, well set expressive ears. He had a level bite. Super coat which clearly maintained the imprint of my hand, which was most impressive to see. Well grown body with appropriately strong limbs and tail to balance. He handled well and was a pleasure to meet today!
Another super exhibit! Lovely broad head, with large yet expressive eyes, nice profile and large ears. Super distinct ticking to her coat with good drag to it and super facial markings. Very pleasing colours to this usual girl. Elegant body and limbs tail to balance. She was a little worried and trifle upset but handled well. A very pleasing example of her breed and unlucky to meet the winner today.
A nicely developed adult. Reasonably large & lustrous eyes set well apart with good shape, correct slants to upper lids and nice rounding to lower lids. They are chartreuse in colour. Face on showing a short wide wedge tapering to a blunt muzzle. He had a messy bite. He has gentle rounding between his ears which were set well apart, they are good for size, wide at the base, with rounded tips. In profile he has reasonably good depth to his skull, a rounded brow; his nose break could take more definition for my preference, he has a straight nose line. His lower jaw has reasonably good depth and is correctly aligned in a straight plane to the end of his nose, his chin has some strength and firmness. He has a solid reasonably large sized body, a strong chest and a straight back, his legs are nicely in proportion having taller hind legs and oval paws. His tail was just short to balance but tapered well from a medium base to a paint brush tip. His BCR blue was a trifle cool in the show lighting but the mantle of medium shading descend well down his sides and was set against a clear silver ground. He has thumb prints to his ears, a scarab to his head and an M to the forehead, spectacle lines and a broken necklace. He has lots of stripes to his fore and rear legs, good colour ascending up his hocks and rings to the lower end of his tail which did have a solid tip. His coat is close lying and is of slightly longer in length than preferred but has a good silky texture. He was shown in excellent condition with a awful lot to tell me!

Bit of a sleepy chap! He has quite large and lustrous eyes which have pleasing definition to the upper lids and adequate fullness to his lower lids and are set well. They are pale chartreuse in colour today. Face on he has a short reasonably wide wedge which tapers to a blunt finish. He has a level bite. He has gentle rounding between his ears and they balance his head; they are wide in the base and have rounded tips. His profile shows reasonably good depth to his skull. He has gentle rounding to his brow. He has a defined nose break but his nose line is interrupted by a small bump, whilst his lower jaw has reasonable depth I would like more for perfection; his chin would benefit from this greatly. It is correctly aligned to the end of his nose in a straight vertical plane. His long body has good weight for his size and excellent muscle tone. He has a straight back and a strong chest. His stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were slender and elegant. He has oval paws. His tail balances and tapers very well to a paint brush tip from a medium base. His coat has a fine texture and lies very close to his body being reasonably short. It is warm brown with some pleasing chestnut tone in the show hall today with a few smudges to his legs. He was shown in super condition and well prepared. He handled very well and didn’t mind being woken up at all.
What a chatterbox and a bit of daft lad! He has medium-large eyes which have good definition to the upper lids yet needs much more fullness to the lower lids, they are set as well apart on his head which for me lacks width. They are pale golden in colour in this hall. Face on he has a reasonably short wide wedge which tapers to a blunt muzzle. He has a level bite. He has reasonable rounding between his ears; they are a little out of balance at present being somewhat too small for his head; they are wide in the base and have rounded tips. His profile shows reasonable depth to his skull. He has very gentle rounding to his brow. His nose break could take more definition and has a straight nose line, his lower jaw lacks depth; I would like a much more for perfection thus consequently his chin could benefit from this too. It is correctly aligned to the end of his nose in a straight vertical plane. His body has good weight for his size and pleasing muscle tone. He has a straight back and a strong chest. His stance shows correctly taller hind legs. He has oval paws. His tail only just balances and tapers very well from a rather thick base. His coat has a rather coarse texture today yet is quite short but did not lie close to his body. It is quite a pale cream with nice powdering to the back of his head with a few residue markings to his head yet otherwise quite clear. He was shown in good condition. He was a huge, larger than life personality and I bet he is a really joy to indulge!

Quite the pretty girl! She has large and lustrous eyes which have good definition to the upper lids and pleasing fullness to lower lids and are set well. They are pale chartreuse in colour in the hall today. Face on she has a short wide wedge which tapers to a blunt muzzle. She has a level bite but is missing a couple of incisors in her lower set. She has gentle rounding between her ears which are set well apart; they are balanced; being wide in the bases and having rounded tips. Her profile shows reasonably good depth to her skull. She has good rounding to her brow. She has a well defined nose break and a straight nose line, whilst her lower jaw has reasonably good depth I would like just a little more for perfection her chin could be a smidgen fuller too. It is correctly aligned in a straight vertical plane to the end of her nose. Her body has good weight for her size and is nicely balanced. She has a straight back and a strong chest. Her stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were dainty and elegant. She has neat oval paws. Her tail balances and tapers very well to a rounded end from a medium base. Her coat has a super fine texture and was pleasingly short. It is cool toned lilac mingled with various shades of cream. She was shown is very good condition. She is a bit of madam who has a strong mind but is rather lovely nether the less!

Another chap who seems to prefers to sleep the day away under his blankets and was rather uncooperative. He has medium eyes which have hooded upper lids and need much more fullness to the lower lids and the bridge between them is far too prominent and rather coarse for my taste. They are muddy chartreuse in colour in the hall. Face on he has a medium length wedge which looked fine in the muzzle especially as his is rather jowly. He was not prepared to let me examine his bite today. He has reasonable rounding between his ears; they are a little out of balance being a somewhat too large for his rather narrow head; they are wide in the base and having rounded tips. His profile lacks depth to his skull. He has a very gently rounded brow. He has an exceptionally well defined nose break and a straight nose line which was too long, his lower jaw has barely acceptable depth and really requires much more, yet it is correctly aligned to the end of his nose in a straight vertical plane. His lean body has good weight for his size and excellent muscle tone yet not a hint of any fat. He has a straight back and a strong chest. He would not stand for us. He has oval paws. He was too upset to assess his tail properly. His coat has a fine texture and rather short. It is medium toned but and did have some pleasing silvering to it. He was too upset do himself any justice today.

A very sweet girl. She has large and lustrous eyes which have good definition to the upper lids and pleasing fullness to lower lids and are set very well apart. They are golden yellow in colour today. Face on she has a short wide wedge which tapers to a blunt muzzle. She has a level bite. She has lovely rounding between her ears which are set reasonably well apart (her head is still developing), they are just a little large at present; wide in the base and having rounded tips. Her profile shows good depth to her skull. She has good rounding to her brow. She has a well defined nose break and a straight nose line, her lower jaw has good depth but I would like just a little more for perfection. It is correctly aligned to the end of her nose in a straight vertical plane. Her medium sized body has good weight and is nicely balanced. She has a straight back and a strong chest. Her stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were slender and elegant. She has neat oval paws. Her tail balances and tapers very well to a paint brush from a medium base. Her coat has a super satin like feel to it and is short and close lying. It is a pleasing warm tone chocolate mingled nicely with various shades of red, shown in excellent condition. She is a confident girl who is very sweet and gentle though maybe experiencing her first call today judging by her behaviour - I really enjoyed handling her today and could have wasted lots of time with her.

So aptly named as today was the first day of Hannukah the Jewish festival of light! Superb expression – she has such beautiful eyes. They are large and lustrous, having excellent definition to the upper lids and super fullness to lower lids and are set very well. They are pale golden yellow in colour. All in all they had a super Burmese expression – quite beguiling. Face on she has a short wide wedge which tapers to a blunt muzzle. She has a level bite. She has lovely rounding between her ears which are set very well apart; they are nicely balanced; wide in the base and having rounded tips. She has a very typical contour to her upper face – lovely butterfly wing effect. Her profile shows good depth to her skull. She has good rounding to her brow. She has a well defined nose break and a straight nose line, her lower jaw has good depth. It is correctly aligned to the end of her nose in a straight vertical plane. Her body has good weight for her size and is nicely balanced with muscle tone that only top rate Burmese have. She has a straight back and a strong chest. Her stance shows desirably taller hind legs which were so dainty and elegant. She has neat oval paws. Her tail balances and tapers very well to a paintbrush finish from a medium base. Her coat has a satin like feel to it although it was tad open today. It is mid toned chocolate which unfortunately had some brindle to it today. She was shown in otherwise excellent condition. She is shy girl who is very sweet and gentle, she handles well and then played peek-ah-boo from under her blankets with me. She was my choice for BiS Adult Burmese and I was delighted to hear she went on to become Overall Best of Variety Burmese today – Mazel Tov!

Face on he has a short wide wedge which tapers to a blunt muzzle. He has a level bite. He has gentle rounding between his ears; they are a little out of balance as they are too small for his head; they are wide in the base and having rounded tips. His profile shows reasonably good depth to his skull. He has gentle rounding to his brow. He has a well defined nose break and a straight nose line which was a little long, whilst his lower jaw is rather shallow, it is correctly aligned to the end of his nose in a straight vertical plane. His large body has good weight for his size but he does carry a little too much condition. He has a straight back and a strong chest. His stance shows taller hind legs. He has large spoon shaped paws. His tail was short to balance and tapers well from a medium base. His coat has a satin like feel to it and reasonably short but lies close to his body. It is intense cream in colour with some powdering and smudges to his legs and tummy. He was very relaxed if a little shy today.

Rather a pretty girl and very sweet with it. She has a very gentle nature and was very relaxed with my steward and enjoyed a big cuddle. She did purr for us. Excellent presentation – pristine show blanket and very well prepared – coat gleaming with health, lovely soft texture and immaculately clean. She is lovely lilac cat of Burmese type. Shown in excellent health and condition. She was really quite charming to us so thoroughly deserved her awards today!

An extremely attractive exhibit. Large & lustrous eyes set well apart with correct shape, correct slants to upper lids and generous rounding to her lower lids. They are pale chartreuse in colour. They really had superb expression. Face on showing a short wide wedge tapering to a blunt muzzle. She had level gums really. She has gentle rounding between her ears which were set well apart, they are good for size, wide at the base, with rounded tips. In profile she has good depth to her skull, rounded brow; her nose break has good definition, straight nose line and rather short. Her lower jaw has excellent depth and is correctly aligned in a straight plane to the end of her nose, her chin has strength and firmness. She has a solid medium sized body, a strong chest and a straight back, her legs are nicely in proportion to her body having taller hind legs and neat oval paws. Her tail was just short to balance but tapered well from a medium base to a paint brush tip. Her warm BCR brown ticking is very distinct over her pale beige ground. She has thumb prints to her ears, a scarab to her head and an M to the forehead, spectacle lines and a broken necklace. She has stripes to her inner fore legs, a strong hocks to her hind legs and several rings to her tail. Her coat felt like the finest silk to the touch and was of slightly longer length than preferred, but is very close lying to her body. Shown in excellent condition, with some spirit but is just adorable. A real pleasure to meet such a lovely ticked tabby.

A really very sweet youngster who was very sleepy. She has quite large & lustrous eyes which I would prefer to be a tad larger for absolute perfection they are set well apart with correct shape, nice slants to upper lids and rather generous rounding to her lower lids. They are chartreuse in colour with super black eye liner. Face on she has a short wide wedge which tapers well to a blunt muzzle which I would like fractionally broader. She has a level bite. She has gentle rounding between her ears which were set well apart, they are good for size, wide at the base, with rounded tips. In profile she has reasonably good depth to her skull, a nicely rounded brow; her nose break has good definition, her short straight nose line has a tiny bump. Her lower jaw has reasonable depth which aligns in a vertical plane to the end of her nose, her chin has adequate depth but would benefit from more. She has a medium body, with very pleasing weight for her size, a strong chest and a straight back, her legs are nicely in proportion to her body having taller hind legs and spoon shaped paws. Her tail was just short to balance but tapered well from a medium base to a paint brush tip. Her full expression black ticking is distinct over her rich coppery bronzed ground. She has clear thumb prints to her ears, a scarab to her head and an M to the forehead, spectacles which were very fetching against the intense rufus colouration on her face. She has a faint necklace plentiful fine stripes to all of her legs, clear hocks to her hind legs and defined spine line running down to a solid tip on her tail. Her coat has good semi longhair length yet feels like there was still a fraction too much undercoat; a rather immature coat still with nice streamers to her ears and toe tufts beginning to emerge. Shown is excellent condition and behaved very well – a delightful youngster with a pleasing expression.

A rather super looking young Russian. Excellent ear set and pleasing head type. Lovely green eyes have good shape and corners point correctly to the ears. Nice profile with lower profile dip giving the wedge a pleasing balance. She has strong prominent wisher pads. Her coat was trifle sot at present but she is still young, it was mid tone blue with a pleasing silvery sheen to it. Very promising youngster.

What charming young man. Nicely grown, super solidly muscular body, tail that more than balances, well muscled limbs. Please head type, prominent cheek bones and a distinctive whisker break on prominent whisker pads. Slightly round top and lovely large hears. Super lemon shaped eyes of glorious golden colour. Chin rather shallow unfortunately. He handle beautifully and did in deed have that warm chamois leather feel with thicker down on his bridge and the back of his ears. Lovely chap!

Love Si-Rex girl who handle very nicely and enjoyed a cuddle from my steward. Lovely large ear, flat top of head, large blue eye that could take a more defined line to the upper lids. Reasonable width at the cheeks but would prefer a little more for perfection, good nose break but not quite a stop, muzzle could also take more width for balance though she has good depth of chin but bite was messy. Lovely solid muscular body yet still managing elegance. Pleasing covering of rex coat and quite the charming you lady who purred away for us. Schmoozer!

A very busy youngster! She has quite large and lustrous eyes which have pleasing definition to the upper lids and good fullness to lower lids they are also set very well apart. They are golden yellow in colour with hints of an inner chartreuse rim beginning to develop. She has a short wide wedge which tapers to a reasonably blunt muzzle. She has a level bite. She has lovely rounding between her ears which are set reasonably well apart; they are medium in size and wide in the base, having rounded tips. Her profile shows reasonably good depth to her skull. She has good rounding to her brow. She has a reasonably well defined nose break and an essentially straight nose line with a marginal falling away towards the end. Whilst her lower jaw has reasonably good depth I would prefer a little more for perfection her chin accordingly is fractionally lacking in depth. It appeared fractionally set back today. Her head type is generally very pleasing and it must be born in mind she is still a work in progress being a relatively young adult. Her body has good weight for her size and is nicely balanced. She has a straight back and strong chest. Her stance shows taller hind legs which were dainty and elegant. She has lovely spoon shaped paws. Her tail balances and tapers very well to a rounded finish from a medium base. Her coat is short and feels like satin. It is mid toned chocolate with minimal contrast to the mask and extremities and mingled well with various shades of red. She was shown in excellent condition. She has a very sweet personality and was joy to handle today.
Class 688 AC Burmese Debutante Kitten
1st Messers Crow & Goss KAGURA ATHENA 27b F 31-05-2009
Generally a balanced exhibit. She has large and lustrous eyes which have good definition to the upper lids and fullness to lower lids and are set very well – at times she was hold them a little tight but when she relaxed they had a very pleasing expression. They are muddy golden yellow in colour in this show hall. Face on she has a short wide wedge which tapers to a blunt muzzle. She has a level bite but her gums looked a little sore which appeared to be the onset of teething. She has lovely rounding between her ears which are set very well apart; they are nicely balanced; wide in the base and having rounded tips. Her profile shows good depth to her skull. She has good rounding to her brow. Her nose break was possibly effected by her teething as it appear to be swollen and lacking in definition today, she has a straight nose line, whilst her lower jaw has good depth I would like a little more for absolute perfection which would given her chin a tad more depth too. It is correctly aligned to the end of her nose in a straight vertical plane. Her body has good weight for her size and is nicely balanced. She has a straight back and a strong chest. Her stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were dainty and elegant. She has neat oval paws. Her tail balances and tapers very well to a paint brush finish from a medium base. Her coat has good texture and pleasing length to it and lies very close to her body. It is a lovely even chocolate with very minimal contrast. She was shown is excellent condition. She is very confident, very friendly and was possibly about to call …
2nd Mrs C Stalker VINTARN ANGEL DELIGHT 27b F 08-07-2009
A little unsure of herself today. She has large and lustrous eyes which have pleasing definition to the upper lids, good fullness to lower lids and are set very well. They are golden yellow in colour in the show light. Face on she has a short wide wedge which tapers to a blunt muzzle, which she was holding a tad square today. She has a level bite but bless her gums did look very sore – most definitely teething and everything on the move. She has lovely rounding between her ears which are set very well apart; they are nicely balanced; wide in the base and having rounded tips. In profile I wanted more depth to her skull which appeared to have medium depth. She has good rounding to her brow but it was a touch long. Her nose break was suffering from the effects of her teething and was rather lacking in definition and a straight nose line with a roll off. Her lower jaw has acceptable depth but I would like a lot more for perfection and to give her chin enough fullness. It was set back a trifle today. Her body has good weight for her medium size and is nicely balanced. She has a straight back and a strong chest. Her stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were slender and elegant. She has neat oval paws. Her tail balances and tapers very well to a paint brush tip from a medium base. Her coat is reasonably short, lies close to her body and has good texture. In the show lighting her coat was a tad too pale a chocolate for me and it made the contrast with her mask and extremities rather too pronounced. She was shown is excellent condition. She was a little shy today but handled nicely and enjoyed a cuddle from my steward!

1st Miss Herrington’s PR SUGARBOWL HUNKYDORY 27c FN 05-07-2007
A mature looking exhibit. Large and lustrous eyes they have the correct shape but she does rather hood the upper lids in a less than attractive manner which detracts from her expression. They are chartreuse in colour. Face on she has a very short, wide wedge which tapers to a blunt muzzle and she has a level bite. She has a gently rounded top of head and correct well set ears of pleasing proportions with wide bases and rounded tips. In profile she has reasonably good depth to her skull, slightly flatter brow than desired, a defined nose break. Her nose line is straight. Her jaw has reasonable depth; needing more for perfection which would give her chin the correct fullness, set in a straight plane to the end of her nose. Her medium-large sized body felt solid and muscular though I think she’s carrying a tad more condition since I last saw her, she has a straight back and a nicely rounded chest. Her limbs are proportionate to her body and were elegant having the desired stance. She has dainty spoon shaped paws. Her tail was just short to balance to the shoulder, it tapers well from a medium base to a paint brush finish. Her coat is fairly short in length and lies very close to her body; feeling like silk. It is a rather cool tone of lilac – almost metallic in the show lighting today. She was shown in excellent condition, a little fractious today with lots to complain about but she handled well enough.

1st Mr & Ms Gilbert’s IGRPR MARSHMIST ELEANOR 27h FN 20-09-2001
A very attractive exhibit who was back to her usual relaxed self today. Large and lustrous chartreuse eyes with excellent slant to upper lids and well rounded lower lids set well apart. Face on she has a short wide wedge which tapers nicely to a broad blunt muzzle with a level bite, nicely rounded top of head with well shaped and sized ears which are set well apart. In profile her skull could do with a little more depth for balance, nicely rounded brow, good nose break and an essentially straight nose line apart from the end which fell away, her jaw has reasonable depth but really needs to be deeper for perfection - her chin lacks a little depth, it sits correctly in a vertical plane to the end of her nose. Her body feels weighty and firm, it has a strong chest and a straight back, her legs are elegant and in keeping with her body they have the correct stance and she has oval paws. Her tail balances to her shoulder and tapers well to a paint brush finish from a medium base. Her coat is short in length, with a smooth silky feel to it and is rich chocolate in colour and mingled well with various shades of red. She was shown in very good condition and handled well being the mood for strutting her stuff today. A very well balanced exhibit.
