West of Scotland Cat Club Show 12-12-2009

My thanks to Caroline & Ian & the committee for inviting me to judge at their very festive club show. Thanks for the lovely gift and hospitality too. It was a joy to see so many quality Foreign exhibits today – thank you for entering them under me!

Open Classes:

Class 406 Brown Burmese Kitten

1st & BoB Mrs Cook’s EGLINTON EROL BROWN 27 M 14-07-2009

A rather lively character. He has medium-large eyes which have pleasing definition to the upper lids and would benefit from greater fullness to lower lids, they are set very well. They are golden yellow in colour at present. Face on he has a short wide wedge which is a little pinched at present. He has a level bite and appears to be teething. He has gentle rounding between his ears which are set very well apart; they balance well at present; they are wide in the base and having rounded tips. His profile shows medium depth to his skull. He has gentle rounding to his brow. He has a pleasing nose break and his nose line is interrupted by a small bump, his lower jaw is really too shallow and is also somewhat set back which disturbs the balance of his chin when viewed face on. His body has good weight for his size, which is currently a little smaller than I would expect for his age. He has a straight back and a strong chest. His stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were slender and elegant. He has large oval paws. His tail balances and tapers very well to a paint brush tip, it was a little whippy though. His coat has a somewhat coarse texture and appears to be a little ticked in places – hopefully this will grow out. It is light tone brown at present and he does have some bars to all four legs. He was shown in otherwise excellent condition. He was very confident but quite the wriggler.

Class 409a Lilac Kitten Male

1st & BoB Miss Campbell’s MICIASALI YOSHUA 27c M 23-08-2009

Super expression on this sweet youngster. He has large and lustrous eyes which have excellent definition to the upper lids and super fullness to lower lids and are set very well. They are pale yellow in colour in this show hall. Face on he has a short wide wedge which tapers to a blunt muzzle. He has a level bite but his gums looked a little swollen. He has lovely rounding between his ears; they are a little out of balance at present being a somewhat too large for his head but I’m sure his head will catch up soon; they are wide in the base and have rounded tips. His profile shows good depth to his skull. He has good rounding to his brow. He has a well defined nose break and a straight nose line, whilst his lower jaw has good depth I would like a little more for absolute perfection his chin could benefit from this. It is correctly aligned to the end of his nose in a straight vertical plane. His long body has good weight for his size and excellent muscle tone. He has a straight back and a strong chest. His stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were slender and elegant. He has neat oval paws. His tail balances and tapers very well to a paint brush tip from a medium base. His coat has a super fine texture and satin like feel to it although it was a little bit kitten-long at present but lies very close to his body. It is mid toned lilac with slight pink casting in the show lighting. He was shown in excellent condition. He was very confident and seemed to enjoy being handled today – a charming young man.

Miscellaneous Classes:

Class 676 AoV Foreign Adult (4 entered)

1st Miss Dyke’s INYANGA INSTANT KARMA 68 43bsq F 30-10-2008 BCR Chocolate Silver Shaded Tiffanie

An extremely attractive young lady with a superb expression. Large & lustrous eyes set well apart with correct shape, pleasing slants to upper lids and generous rounding to her lower lids. They are golden yellow in colour. Face on showing a short wide wedge which tapers to a pleasing blunt muzzle. She has a level bite. She has gentle rounding between her ears which were set well apart, they are a very good size, wide at the base with rounded tips. In profile she has quite good depth to her skull, a rounded brow; her nose break has very good definition, straight nose line and rather short. Her lower jaw has quite good depth and is correctly aligned to the end of her nose, her chin has quite good depth. She has a medium sized body, with very good weight and muscle tone, a strong chest and a straight back. Her legs are nicely in proportion to her body having taller hind legs and neat oval shaped paws. Her tail balances and tapers well from a medium base. Her Burmese colour restriction chocolate is very warm over her pristine silver ground, her mantle of shading descends down her flanks well. She has clear thumb prints to her ears, an M to her forehead, a scarab and a rather faint necklace. She has good solid hocks to her hind legs and showing a diffused spine line along her back but having solid tail tip. Her coat felt like silk to the touch and was of medium length and very close lying to her body, she has attractive ear streamers, a minimal ruff and toe tufts with a fringe to her carriage. She was shown superb condition and behaved very well in fact she has quite a charming relaxed nature and was a pleasure to meet.

2nd Mrs Hamilton’s CH INYANGA RAFAEL 68 43sq M 17-04-2008 BCR Brown Silver Shaded Tiffanie

A lovely lad who is well grown. Large & lustrous eyes set well apart with correct shape, pleasing slants to upper lids but a tendency to hood them over a trifle and very generous rounding to her lower lids. They are pale chartreuse in colour and have super rims which extra definition. Face on showing a short and very wide wedge which tapers to a pleasing blunt muzzle. He has a level bite. He has super rounding between his ears which were set very well apart, for me they are a just a little bit small for his head, though wide in the base with rounded tips. In profile he has reasonably good depth to his skull, a pleasing rounded brow; a good nose break, straight nose line. His lower jaw has reasonable depth but I would prefer greater depth for perfection and is set back slightly, weakening his chin a trifle. He has a large, well grown body with very good weight and muscle tone, a strong chest and a straight back. His legs are in proportion to his body having taller hind legs and spoon shaped paws. His tail balances and tapers well from a slightly thick base. His Burmese colour restriction brown shading was a little cool in tone over an immaculate silver ground but his very lightly shaded mantle descended down his flanks well. He has thumb prints to his ears, an M to his forehead, a scarab, spectacle marks and a necklace. He has good solid hocks to his hind legs and showing a diffused spine line along his back but having solid tail tip. His coat felt pleasingly silky to the touch and was of medium length and it was a trifle thick in undercoat at present but he had excellent ear streamers, a pleasing ruff and toe tufts with a flowing fringe to his carriage. He was shown superb condition and behaved very well. A pleasure to handle!

3rd Messers Robertson & Richardson’s GRCH ESANES ETOURDISSANT 76 20 F 22-04-2008

Beautiful girl just a trifle tense.

Class 686 AV Foreign Limit Adult

1st Ms Mather’s MAKIMA DESERT ROSE 23 F 03-10-2008

A very attract girl with lovely muscle tone and shown in super condition. Lovely balanced head with pleasing golden yellow eyes, good for set and shape. Level bite though missing a few incisors. Ears also set well and she has a nice profile. Elegant body and limbs, her tail balances well. Super ticking, very clear and distinct banding. Pleasing markings to head no necklace and very pleasing usual colours with excellent drag to her coat. Handled very well.

2nd Mr & Mrs Miskelly’s KOPERKAT LIPSTICK JUNGLE 23a F 05-03-2009

Another pleasing girl with such a sweet face! Super expression across her eyes though head seemed to lack depth a tad at present. She has a nicely grown body for her age with slender elegant limbs and tail to balance. Her ticking was less distinct than I had hoped for but was a super rich sorrel colour. Pleasing coat but lacking drag at present. She had a super temperament – I could have wasted hours playing with her – will watch her development with interest.

3rd Ms Minto’s ACCLAIM MINTANDER NEAVE 77 M 28-07-2008 – nice lad but rather straight in profile.

Class 701 AV Foreign Assessment Kitten

1st Miss Johnson’s CAIRNICATS EBONY 16a15 F 08-08-2009

Sweet baby girl. She had a nice broad wedge and nicely shaped eyes, in profile her head could take more profile dip for my preference. She had nicely set ears that are appropriate in size for her age. Her jet black coat was rather close lying and a trifle long. She handled very nicely

2nd Mrs Fullard’s CAIRNICATS ZIGGY 16a15 M 08-08-2009

Unfortunately this young man was a tad upset today. I felt he lacked width in the muzzle giving him a somewhat fine look and had a rather straight profile, possible due to his mood his eye set did not please, neither did he hold his ears well. Again his jet back coat was rather close lying at present.

Class 716 AV Foreign Assessment Neuter

1st Mrs Stewart’s WAKANDA CHASKA 80L17 MN 24-03-2006

A very charming exhibit. Super depth to head, good nose break, large and expressive pale lemon yellow eyes. Super well grown body and strong limbs and tail to balance. Coat had excellent length, super texture and was very well presented. A bit of a character I suspect!

2nd Mr & Mrs Lucas’ ADATESH TAIGA 83aw FN 26-09-2007

This exhibit had delightful bright but deep blue eyes that positively sparkled. She has a nicely grown body and tail to balance. Her coat was good for texture and length and her darker blue areas around her plume and tail were set off well against her pristine white undercoat. Unfortunately the marks to her face were not quite in balance and let her down a trifle.

Class 719 AV Foreign Maiden Neuter

1st Mrs Robertson’s ABYGLEN ANYLA 23c 17-08-2004

She has a very pleasing head with a lovely broad muzzle, pale golden yellow eyes which were set well and had good shape. Her body was very well gown and her tail was a tad short to balance. Her ticking was a tad diffuse, but her facial markings were very pleasing. She was rather shy today and preferred to be handled in her pen.

Class 723 AV Foreign Junior Neuter

1st Mrs Sinclair’s CLOUDBORN KITERUNNER 33a 30d MN 01-04-2008

A rather cheeky face to this exhibit. Good width at cheeks and reasonable stop, chin could take wee bit more depth for perfection. Super expression to his eyes – very wicked! Level bite. His body was a trifle long but had good muscle tone and ample coverage, but his coat lacked enough resistance to me – a trifle soft. Tail just short to balance but lovely slender elegant limbs. Handled nicely and was well presented.

2nd Mr & Mrs Blair’s INYANGA CALVIN 72 43asq MN 16-02-2008 BCR Blue Silver Shaded Asian Shorthair

A well grown youngster who is not long adult. Large & lustrous eyes set well apart with correct shape, correct slants to upper lids but somewhat hooded and very generous rounding to his lower lids. They are golden yellow in colour. Face on showing a short wide wedge tapering to a blunt muzzle. He had a level bite. He has a rather flat top of head his ears are set well apart as they might on his rather narrow head, they are a little too large in size as yet, wide at the base, with rounded tips. In profile he has reasonable depth to his skull, with a flat brow; his nose break was acceptable but I would prefer more definition, he has a straight nose which is a trifle long. His lower jaw has reasonable depth but I would prefer it to be deeper and was receding all in all weakening his chin. He has a long somewhat rangy body, a strong chest and a straight back, his legs in proportion to his body having taller hind legs and oval paws. His tail balances and tapered well from a medium base to a paint brush tip. His BCR blue, heavily shaded mantle was rather cool in tone, it covered his flanks well and his ground colour was a pristine silver. He has thumb prints to his ears, a scarab to his head and an M to the forehead, spectacle lines and a broken necklace. He has smudges to his inner fore legs, a strong hocks to his hind legs and clear spine line descending well down his tail. His coat felt like silk to the touch and was a trifle longer in length than preferred, but is very close lying to his body. Shown in excellent condition and was little upset but manageable.

Class 724 AV Foreign Senior Neuter – A very strong and Impressive Class, thank you for entering!

1st Mrs Fleming’s UK & IGRPR SHOELINA ZELENSKY 16a MN 09-05-2006

Just superb; I understand he went on to become Overall BOV Foreign – well done! He has a very strong head which simply screamed Russian type to me, super shaped olive green eyes, board muzzle with nicely displayed whisker pads, pleasing dip in profile, well set expressive ears. He had a level bite. Super coat which clearly maintained the imprint of my hand, which was most impressive to see. Well grown body with appropriately strong limbs and tail to balance. He handled well and was a pleasure to meet today!

2nd Mr & Mrs MacDougall’s ABYGLEN ALESHIA 23 FN 21-10-2007

Another super exhibit! Lovely broad head, with large yet expressive eyes, nice profile and large ears. Super distinct ticking to her coat with good drag to it and super facial markings. Very pleasing colours to this usual girl. Elegant body and limbs tail to balance. She was a little worried and trifle upset but handled well. A very pleasing example of her breed and unlucky to meet the winner today.

Extra 2nd Mrs Robertson’s ABYGLEN ANYLA 23c FN 17-08-2004 (see above)

3rd Mrs Lane’s INYNAGA CHARUDUTTA 72 43asq MN 02-10-2007 BCR Blue Silver Shaded Asian Shorthair

A nicely developed adult. Reasonably large & lustrous eyes set well apart with good shape, correct slants to upper lids and nice rounding to lower lids. They are chartreuse in colour. Face on showing a short wide wedge tapering to a blunt muzzle. He had a messy bite. He has gentle rounding between his ears which were set well apart, they are good for size, wide at the base, with rounded tips. In profile he has reasonably good depth to his skull, a rounded brow; his nose break could take more definition for my preference, he has a straight nose line. His lower jaw has reasonably good depth and is correctly aligned in a straight plane to the end of his nose, his chin has some strength and firmness. He has a solid reasonably large sized body, a strong chest and a straight back, his legs are nicely in proportion having taller hind legs and oval paws. His tail was just short to balance but tapered well from a medium base to a paint brush tip. His BCR blue was a trifle cool in the show lighting but the mantle of medium shading descend well down his sides and was set against a clear silver ground. He has thumb prints to his ears, a scarab to his head and an M to the forehead, spectacle lines and a broken necklace. He has lots of stripes to his fore and rear legs, good colour ascending up his hocks and rings to the lower end of his tail which did have a solid tip. His coat is close lying and is of slightly longer in length than preferred but has a good silky texture. He was shown in excellent condition with a awful lot to tell me!

Extra 3rd Mr & Mrs McIlree’s GRPR DREAMCATCHER KACHINA 77 FN 22-07-2003

4th Mrs Stewart’s WAKANDA CHASKA 80L17 MN 24-03-2006

Extra 4th Mr & Mrs Lucas’ ADATESH TAIGA 83aw FN 26-09-2007

Class 728 AC Burmese Self Adult

1st Mrs Ferguson’s CH TEAROHA AUGUSTUS BROWN 27 M 21-07-2008

Bit of a sleepy chap! He has quite large and lustrous eyes which have pleasing definition to the upper lids and adequate fullness to his lower lids and are set well. They are pale chartreuse in colour today. Face on he has a short reasonably wide wedge which tapers to a blunt finish. He has a level bite. He has gentle rounding between his ears and they balance his head; they are wide in the base and have rounded tips. His profile shows reasonably good depth to his skull. He has gentle rounding to his brow. He has a defined nose break but his nose line is interrupted by a small bump, whilst his lower jaw has reasonable depth I would like more for perfection; his chin would benefit from this greatly. It is correctly aligned to the end of his nose in a straight vertical plane. His long body has good weight for his size and excellent muscle tone. He has a straight back and a strong chest. His stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were slender and elegant. He has oval paws. His tail balances and tapers very well to a paint brush tip from a medium base. His coat has a fine texture and lies very close to his body being reasonably short. It is warm brown with some pleasing chestnut tone in the show hall today with a few smudges to his legs. He was shown in super condition and well prepared. He handled very well and didn’t mind being woken up at all.

2nd Messers Kennedy & Waddington’s BEECHBANK VISCOUNT 27f M 23-04-2008

What a chatterbox and a bit of daft lad! He has medium-large eyes which have good definition to the upper lids yet needs much more fullness to the lower lids, they are set as well apart on his head which for me lacks width. They are pale golden in colour in this hall. Face on he has a reasonably short wide wedge which tapers to a blunt muzzle. He has a level bite. He has reasonable rounding between his ears; they are a little out of balance at present being somewhat too small for his head; they are wide in the base and have rounded tips. His profile shows reasonable depth to his skull. He has very gentle rounding to his brow. His nose break could take more definition and has a straight nose line, his lower jaw lacks depth; I would like a much more for perfection thus consequently his chin could benefit from this too. It is correctly aligned to the end of his nose in a straight vertical plane. His body has good weight for his size and pleasing muscle tone. He has a straight back and a strong chest. His stance shows correctly taller hind legs. He has oval paws. His tail only just balances and tapers very well from a rather thick base. His coat has a rather coarse texture today yet is quite short but did not lie close to his body. It is quite a pale cream with nice powdering to the back of his head with a few residue markings to his head yet otherwise quite clear. He was shown in good condition. He was a huge, larger than life personality and I bet he is a really joy to indulge!

Class 730 AC Burmese Breeder’ Adult

1st Mrs Coulter’s CH JACOU UNIQUE ULTRAVIOLET 27j F 13-02-2008

Quite the pretty girl! She has large and lustrous eyes which have good definition to the upper lids and pleasing fullness to lower lids and are set well. They are pale chartreuse in colour in the hall today. Face on she has a short wide wedge which tapers to a blunt muzzle. She has a level bite but is missing a couple of incisors in her lower set. She has gentle rounding between her ears which are set well apart; they are balanced; being wide in the bases and having rounded tips. Her profile shows reasonably good depth to her skull. She has good rounding to her brow. She has a well defined nose break and a straight nose line, whilst her lower jaw has reasonably good depth I would like just a little more for perfection her chin could be a smidgen fuller too. It is correctly aligned in a straight vertical plane to the end of her nose. Her body has good weight for her size and is nicely balanced. She has a straight back and a strong chest. Her stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were dainty and elegant. She has neat oval paws. Her tail balances and tapers very well to a rounded end from a medium base. Her coat has a super fine texture and was pleasingly short. It is cool toned lilac mingled with various shades of cream. She was shown is very good condition. She is a bit of madam who has a strong mind but is rather lovely nether the less!

Class 731 AC Burmese Non-Breeder’s Adult

1st Mrs Coulter’s CATMARIAN MISTERBOJANGLES 27a M 03-02-3006

Another chap who seems to prefers to sleep the day away under his blankets and was rather uncooperative. He has medium eyes which have hooded upper lids and need much more fullness to the lower lids and the bridge between them is far too prominent and rather coarse for my taste. They are muddy chartreuse in colour in the hall. Face on he has a medium length wedge which looked fine in the muzzle especially as his is rather jowly. He was not prepared to let me examine his bite today. He has reasonable rounding between his ears; they are a little out of balance being a somewhat too large for his rather narrow head; they are wide in the base and having rounded tips. His profile lacks depth to his skull. He has a very gently rounded brow. He has an exceptionally well defined nose break and a straight nose line which was too long, his lower jaw has barely acceptable depth and really requires much more, yet it is correctly aligned to the end of his nose in a straight vertical plane. His lean body has good weight for his size and excellent muscle tone yet not a hint of any fat. He has a straight back and a strong chest. He would not stand for us. He has oval paws. He was too upset to assess his tail properly. His coat has a fine texture and rather short. It is medium toned but and did have some pleasing silvering to it. He was too upset do himself any justice today.

Class 740 AC Burmese Junior Adult

1st Miss Campbell’s MISCIASALI YOCHANA 27h F 21-12-2008

A very sweet girl. She has large and lustrous eyes which have good definition to the upper lids and pleasing fullness to lower lids and are set very well apart. They are golden yellow in colour today. Face on she has a short wide wedge which tapers to a blunt muzzle. She has a level bite. She has lovely rounding between her ears which are set reasonably well apart (her head is still developing), they are just a little large at present; wide in the base and having rounded tips. Her profile shows good depth to her skull. She has good rounding to her brow. She has a well defined nose break and a straight nose line, her lower jaw has good depth but I would like just a little more for perfection. It is correctly aligned to the end of her nose in a straight vertical plane. Her medium sized body has good weight and is nicely balanced. She has a straight back and a strong chest. Her stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were slender and elegant. She has neat oval paws. Her tail balances and tapers very well to a paint brush from a medium base. Her coat has a super satin like feel to it and is short and close lying. It is a pleasing warm tone chocolate mingled nicely with various shades of red, shown in excellent condition. She is a confident girl who is very sweet and gentle though maybe experiencing her first call today judging by her behaviour - I really enjoyed handling her today and could have wasted lots of time with her.

Class 741 AC Burmese Senior Adult

1st Miss Campbell’s MICIASALI HANNUKAH 27b 5-3-2006

So aptly named as today was the first day of Hannukah the Jewish festival of light! Superb expression – she has such beautiful eyes. They are large and lustrous, having excellent definition to the upper lids and super fullness to lower lids and are set very well. They are pale golden yellow in colour. All in all they had a super Burmese expression – quite beguiling. Face on she has a short wide wedge which tapers to a blunt muzzle. She has a level bite. She has lovely rounding between her ears which are set very well apart; they are nicely balanced; wide in the base and having rounded tips. She has a very typical contour to her upper face – lovely butterfly wing effect. Her profile shows good depth to her skull. She has good rounding to her brow. She has a well defined nose break and a straight nose line, her lower jaw has good depth. It is correctly aligned to the end of her nose in a straight vertical plane. Her body has good weight for her size and is nicely balanced with muscle tone that only top rate Burmese have. She has a straight back and a strong chest. Her stance shows desirably taller hind legs which were so dainty and elegant. She has neat oval paws. Her tail balances and tapers very well to a paintbrush finish from a medium base. Her coat has a satin like feel to it although it was tad open today. It is mid toned chocolate which unfortunately had some brindle to it today. She was shown in otherwise excellent condition. She is shy girl who is very sweet and gentle, she handles well and then played peek-ah-boo from under her blankets with me. She was my choice for BiS Adult Burmese and I was delighted to hear she went on to become Overall Best of Variety Burmese today – Mazel Tov!

My thanks to Pat, Dorothy & the committee for inviting me to judge at the club show for their very kind gift. My thanks also to Heather for stewarding and handling all the exhibits so well as ever!

Open Classes:

Class 830 Self Cats with or without white

1st MC & BoB Mrs Baker LUCY FN 1year 4 months

Rather a pretty girl and very sweet with it. She has a very gentle nature and was very relaxed with my steward and enjoyed a big cuddle. She did purr for us. Excellent presentation – pristine show blanket and very well prepared – coat gleaming with health, lovely soft texture and immaculately clean. She is lovely lilac cat of Burmese type. Shown in excellent health and condition. She was really quite charming to us so thoroughly deserved her awards today!

Miscellaneous Classes:

Class 650 AV Foreign Visitor’s Adult

1st Messers Crow & Goss’s CH KAGURA KATISHA 72 45q F 23-11-2005

An extremely attractive exhibit. Large & lustrous eyes set well apart with correct shape, correct slants to upper lids and generous rounding to her lower lids. They are pale chartreuse in colour. They really had superb expression. Face on showing a short wide wedge tapering to a blunt muzzle. She had level gums really. She has gentle rounding between her ears which were set well apart, they are good for size, wide at the base, with rounded tips. In profile she has good depth to her skull, rounded brow; her nose break has good definition, straight nose line and rather short. Her lower jaw has excellent depth and is correctly aligned in a straight plane to the end of her nose, her chin has strength and firmness. She has a solid medium sized body, a strong chest and a straight back, her legs are nicely in proportion to her body having taller hind legs and neat oval paws. Her tail was just short to balance but tapered well from a medium base to a paint brush tip. Her warm BCR brown ticking is very distinct over her pale beige ground. She has thumb prints to her ears, a scarab to her head and an M to the forehead, spectacle lines and a broken necklace. She has stripes to her inner fore legs, a strong hocks to her hind legs and several rings to her tail. Her coat felt like the finest silk to the touch and was of slightly longer length than preferred, but is very close lying to her body. Shown in excellent condition, with some spirit but is just adorable. A real pleasure to meet such a lovely ticked tabby.

2nd Mrs Ward’s HUGGIBEAR AUTUMN PROMIS 68 45 F 19-09-2008

A really very sweet youngster who was very sleepy. She has quite large & lustrous eyes which I would prefer to be a tad larger for absolute perfection they are set well apart with correct shape, nice slants to upper lids and rather generous rounding to her lower lids. They are chartreuse in colour with super black eye liner. Face on she has a short wide wedge which tapers well to a blunt muzzle which I would like fractionally broader. She has a level bite. She has gentle rounding between her ears which were set well apart, they are good for size, wide at the base, with rounded tips. In profile she has reasonably good depth to her skull, a nicely rounded brow; her nose break has good definition, her short straight nose line has a tiny bump. Her lower jaw has reasonable depth which aligns in a vertical plane to the end of her nose, her chin has adequate depth but would benefit from more. She has a medium body, with very pleasing weight for her size, a strong chest and a straight back, her legs are nicely in proportion to her body having taller hind legs and spoon shaped paws. Her tail was just short to balance but tapered well from a medium base to a paint brush tip. Her full expression black ticking is distinct over her rich coppery bronzed ground. She has clear thumb prints to her ears, a scarab to her head and an M to the forehead, spectacles which were very fetching against the intense rufus colouration on her face. She has a faint necklace plentiful fine stripes to all of her legs, clear hocks to her hind legs and defined spine line running down to a solid tip on her tail. Her coat has good semi longhair length yet feels like there was still a fraction too much undercoat; a rather immature coat still with nice streamers to her ears and toe tufts beginning to emerge. Shown is excellent condition and behaved very well – a delightful youngster with a pleasing expression.

Class 658 AV Foreign Limit Kitten

1st Mr & Mrs Johnson’s TROIKA ELIANA PUSHKINA 16a F 02-03-2009

A rather super looking young Russian. Excellent ear set and pleasing head type. Lovely green eyes have good shape and corners point correctly to the ears. Nice profile with lower profile dip giving the wedge a pleasing balance. She has strong prominent wisher pads. Her coat was trifle sot at present but she is still young, it was mid tone blue with a pleasing silvery sheen to it. Very promising youngster.

2nd Mrs O’Dowd’s YAHTO OHANZEE 84 16 M 10-06-2009

What charming young man. Nicely grown, super solidly muscular body, tail that more than balances, well muscled limbs. Please head type, prominent cheek bones and a distinctive whisker break on prominent whisker pads. Slightly round top and lovely large hears. Super lemon shaped eyes of glorious golden colour. Chin rather shallow unfortunately. He handle beautifully and did in deed have that warm chamois leather feel with thicker down on his bridge and the back of his ears. Lovely chap!

1st Miss Stretton CHARNFIELD CHEECHAQUA 33a 40 1 FN 31-10-2008

Love Si-Rex girl who handle very nicely and enjoyed a cuddle from my steward. Lovely large ear, flat top of head, large blue eye that could take a more defined line to the upper lids. Reasonable width at the cheeks but would prefer a little more for perfection, good nose break but not quite a stop, muzzle could also take more width for balance though she has good depth of chin but bite was messy. Lovely solid muscular body yet still managing elegance. Pleasing covering of rex coat and quite the charming you lady who purred away for us. Schmoozer!

Class 677 AC Burmese Novice Adult

1st Miss Campbell’s MICIASALI YOCHANA 27h F 21-12-2008

A very busy youngster! She has quite large and lustrous eyes which have pleasing definition to the upper lids and good fullness to lower lids they are also set very well apart. They are golden yellow in colour with hints of an inner chartreuse rim beginning to develop. She has a short wide wedge which tapers to a reasonably blunt muzzle. She has a level bite. She has lovely rounding between her ears which are set reasonably well apart; they are medium in size and wide in the base, having rounded tips. Her profile shows reasonably good depth to her skull. She has good rounding to her brow. She has a reasonably well defined nose break and an essentially straight nose line with a marginal falling away towards the end. Whilst her lower jaw has reasonably good depth I would prefer a little more for perfection her chin accordingly is fractionally lacking in depth. It appeared fractionally set back today. Her head type is generally very pleasing and it must be born in mind she is still a work in progress being a relatively young adult. Her body has good weight for her size and is nicely balanced. She has a straight back and strong chest. Her stance shows taller hind legs which were dainty and elegant. She has lovely spoon shaped paws. Her tail balances and tapers very well to a rounded finish from a medium base. Her coat is short and feels like satin. It is mid toned chocolate with minimal contrast to the mask and extremities and mingled well with various shades of red. She was shown in excellent condition. She has a very sweet personality and was joy to handle today.

Class 688 AC Burmese Debutante Kitten

1st Messers Crow & Goss KAGURA ATHENA 27b F 31-05-2009

Generally a balanced exhibit. She has large and lustrous eyes which have good definition to the upper lids and fullness to lower lids and are set very well – at times she was hold them a little tight but when she relaxed they had a very pleasing expression. They are muddy golden yellow in colour in this show hall. Face on she has a short wide wedge which tapers to a blunt muzzle. She has a level bite but her gums looked a little sore which appeared to be the onset of teething. She has lovely rounding between her ears which are set very well apart; they are nicely balanced; wide in the base and having rounded tips. Her profile shows good depth to her skull. She has good rounding to her brow. Her nose break was possibly effected by her teething as it appear to be swollen and lacking in definition today, she has a straight nose line, whilst her lower jaw has good depth I would like a little more for absolute perfection which would given her chin a tad more depth too. It is correctly aligned to the end of her nose in a straight vertical plane. Her body has good weight for her size and is nicely balanced. She has a straight back and a strong chest. Her stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were dainty and elegant. She has neat oval paws. Her tail balances and tapers very well to a paint brush finish from a medium base. Her coat has good texture and pleasing length to it and lies very close to her body. It is a lovely even chocolate with very minimal contrast. She was shown is excellent condition. She is very confident, very friendly and was possibly about to call …

2nd Mrs C Stalker VINTARN ANGEL DELIGHT 27b F 08-07-2009

A little unsure of herself today. She has large and lustrous eyes which have pleasing definition to the upper lids, good fullness to lower lids and are set very well. They are golden yellow in colour in the show light. Face on she has a short wide wedge which tapers to a blunt muzzle, which she was holding a tad square today. She has a level bite but bless her gums did look very sore – most definitely teething and everything on the move. She has lovely rounding between her ears which are set very well apart; they are nicely balanced; wide in the base and having rounded tips. In profile I wanted more depth to her skull which appeared to have medium depth. She has good rounding to her brow but it was a touch long. Her nose break was suffering from the effects of her teething and was rather lacking in definition and a straight nose line with a roll off. Her lower jaw has acceptable depth but I would like a lot more for perfection and to give her chin enough fullness. It was set back a trifle today. Her body has good weight for her medium size and is nicely balanced. She has a straight back and a strong chest. Her stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were slender and elegant. She has neat oval paws. Her tail balances and tapers very well to a paint brush tip from a medium base. Her coat is reasonably short, lies close to her body and has good texture. In the show lighting her coat was a tad too pale a chocolate for me and it made the contrast with her mask and extremities rather too pronounced. She was shown is excellent condition. She was a little shy today but handled nicely and enjoyed a cuddle from my steward!

Class 695 AC Burmese Breeder’s Neuter

1st Miss Herrington’s PR SUGARBOWL HUNKYDORY 27c FN 05-07-2007

A mature looking exhibit. Large and lustrous eyes they have the correct shape but she does rather hood the upper lids in a less than attractive manner which detracts from her expression. They are chartreuse in colour. Face on she has a very short, wide wedge which tapers to a blunt muzzle and she has a level bite. She has a gently rounded top of head and correct well set ears of pleasing proportions with wide bases and rounded tips. In profile she has reasonably good depth to her skull, slightly flatter brow than desired, a defined nose break. Her nose line is straight. Her jaw has reasonable depth; needing more for perfection which would give her chin the correct fullness, set in a straight plane to the end of her nose. Her medium-large sized body felt solid and muscular though I think she’s carrying a tad more condition since I last saw her, she has a straight back and a nicely rounded chest. Her limbs are proportionate to her body and were elegant having the desired stance. She has dainty spoon shaped paws. Her tail was just short to balance to the shoulder, it tapers well from a medium base to a paint brush finish. Her coat is fairly short in length and lies very close to her body; feeling like silk. It is a rather cool tone of lilac – almost metallic in the show lighting today. She was shown in excellent condition, a little fractious today with lots to complain about but she handled well enough.

Class 696 AC Burmese Non-Breeder’s Neuter

1st Mr & Ms Gilbert’s IGRPR MARSHMIST ELEANOR 27h FN 20-09-2001

A very attractive exhibit who was back to her usual relaxed self today. Large and lustrous chartreuse eyes with excellent slant to upper lids and well rounded lower lids set well apart. Face on she has a short wide wedge which tapers nicely to a broad blunt muzzle with a level bite, nicely rounded top of head with well shaped and sized ears which are set well apart. In profile her skull could do with a little more depth for balance, nicely rounded brow, good nose break and an essentially straight nose line apart from the end which fell away, her jaw has reasonable depth but really needs to be deeper for perfection - her chin lacks a little depth, it sits correctly in a vertical plane to the end of her nose. Her body feels weighty and firm, it has a strong chest and a straight back, her legs are elegant and in keeping with her body they have the correct stance and she has oval paws. Her tail balances to her shoulder and tapers well to a paint brush finish from a medium base. Her coat is short in length, with a smooth silky feel to it and is rich chocolate in colour and mingled well with various shades of red. She was shown in very good condition and handled well being the mood for strutting her stuff today. A very well balanced exhibit.

Class 702a AC Foreign Adult Female (5 entered)

1st Mrs Kemp’s GRCH NATZKATZ JABULANI 72 45sq F 26-10-2008 BCR Brown Silver Ticked Tabby Asian

An extremely attractive exhibit. Large & lustrous eyes set well apart with correct shape, gentle slants to upper lids which are enhanced when she’s feeling naughty and full generous rounding to her lower lids. They are pale chartreuse in colour. Face on showing a short wide wedge, level bite and blunt muzzle. She has gentle rounding between her ears which were set well apart, they are good for size, wide at the base, with rounded tips. In profile she has good depth to her skull, rounded brow; her nose break has good definition, straight nose line and rather short. Her lower jaw has reasonable depth which correctly aligns in a straight plane to the end of her nose, her chin has adequate depth. She has a compact body, with very pleasing weight for her size, a strong chest and a straight back, her legs are nicely in proportion to her body having taller hind legs and neat oval paw. Her tail was just short to balance but tapered well from a medium base to a paint brush tip. Her BCR brown ticking distinct over her pristine sliver ground. She has faint thumb prints to her ears, a scarab to her head and an M to the forehead, stripes to her inner fore legs, a few smudges to the rear legs, hocks present but not quite as defined as I would prefer for perfection and showing a diffused spine line along her back, but it was solid along her tail and ended with a solid tip. Her coat felt like the finest silk to the touch and was of medium length and very close lying to her body. Shown is excellent condition and behaved very well today – just edible!

2nd Ms Murphy’s KALTES RHAPSODY INBLUE (33a 16) F

Rather elegant Devon girl with stunning golden eyes – excellent shape and set, super ears well set across and suitable flat top. Good width to cheeks and pleasing stop, china little shallow however. Her pleasing head is carried on a slender and delicate neck. Svelte but muscular body, tail to balance. Pleasing dainty legs and nicely covered with good density and rex waves to her pale blue coat.

1st Mrs Lamb’s CH NATANGO GHANIYAH (78 30) F

A rather delightful and very attractive Mau with that super expression that is so distinctive to the breed. Nicely balanced but head of good type, with super profile, good tram lines and especially attractive worried expression to her gooseberry green eyes which have super shape to them. She had a level bite. A pleasing body for weight and muscularity with a delightful coat that had a clear and distinct pattern with super rich rufus effect to her ground coat colour which was very impressive. Elegant yet muscular legs, tail to balance and shown in excellent condition with a delightful show temperament!

2nd Miss Bradley’s NEMOREZ SCARLETOHARA 72g 06-11-2008 Blue Tortie Asian

Pretty girl. Large and lustrous eyes with good shape to both upper and lower lids set well apart on her head. They are pale chartreuse in colour. Face on she shows a short wide wedge which tapers to a broad blunt muzzle, she has a level bite. He has good rounding to her top of head, her ears are good for size and shape with wee tufts, were set reasonably well apart and offer a pleasing contour to the outline of her head. In profile her skull has reasonably good depth, very nicely rounded brow, defined nose break, straight nose line which is pleasingly short. Her lower jaw has good depth although I would like a little more for perfection, it did however sit in the correct plane to the end of her nose. Her medium sized body is growing nicely for her age, has excellent weight and muscle tone to it, a strong rounded chest and a straight back; her limbs are elegant and dainty, they are also in keeping with her body, they show the correct stance with taller hind legs. They have neat oval paws. Her tail balances to the shoulder and tapers well from a medium base to a paint brush tip. Her coat was a dark slate blue mingled well with shades of cream and was coloured to the roots, her coat is a little long it does a lovely fine texture and is silky to the touch, lying very close to her body. Shown in excellent condition, she was little anxious at the end of the row today but handle very nicely indeed.

3rd Messers Robertson & Richardson’s CH ESANES IMPRESSIONANT (76 20) F

Extra 3rd Mr & Mrs Lloyd’s GRCH NAMOONA DAMARA (78 30) F

Class 721 AV Foreign Kitten Female

1st Mr & Mrs Johnson’s TROIKA ELIANA PUSHKINA (16a) F

A promising young Russian. Pleasing head, with ears held high, muzzle still developing but with adequate width for age, profile has a wee dip in nose and angel is developing. Lovely eyes for shape and colour though full colour may take a while yet. Solid body with good muscle tone and sturdy yet elegant limbs. Her tail balanced. Pleasing blue colour to her coat which was quite even, though coat is still developing as yet to reach full density none-the-less a pleasing exhibit.

2nd Mrs Shepherd’s MAGICAL MIZHAT TITUDE (33a 36e)

A rather lovely tortie Devon. Love eyes for shape and set. Head could take more width at cheeks but it is still developing, ears are well grown, nose break and chin acceptable. Body has a full covering, a little long in places however. Solid weighty body with a tail to balance and elegant limbs . A delightful show temperament and show in excellent condition.

Extra 2nd Mrs Goulty’s LORRENTINO EDEN (33a 14b) F

A sweet wee baby, her white coat was pristine if a trifle fluffy in places. Large eyes but a little rounded at present, which I put down to her surprise – beautiful china blue in colour. More definition require for her break as yet, good flat top of head, large ears, chin could be fuller. Her wee body was weighty and was well covered with a soft Rex coat, her tail balanced nicely and she had elegant limbs. Lovely weight for size and a sweet playful little character!

She has neat oval paws. Her tail balances and tapers very well to a paint brush tip from a medium base. Her coat is short and has a super satin like feel to it. Her tail balances and tapers very well to a paint brush tip from a medium base. Her coat is short and has a satin like feel to it. Looks simply stunning today! She has large and lustrous eyes which have excellent definition to the upper lids and super fullness to lower lids and are set very well. They are pale chartreuse in colour. Face on she has a short wide wedge which tapers to a very blunt muzzle. She has a level bite. She has lovely rounding between her ears which are set very well apart, they are nicely balanced; wide in the base and having rounded tips. She has a very typical contour to her upper face. Her profile shows good depth to her skull. She has good rounding to her brow. She has a very well defined nose break and a straight nose line, whilst her lower jaw has good depth I would like a little more for absolute perfection her chin is strong though. It is correctly aligned to the end of her nose in a straight vertical plane. Her medium body has good weight for her size and excellent muscle tone. She has a straight back and a strong chest. Her stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were elegant. She has neat oval paws. Her tail balances and tapers very well to a paint brush tip from a medium base. Her coat short and has a superb satin texture. It is a mid lilac mingled with shades of cream. She was shown in excellent condition. She was very full of herself and let me have some choice expletives but it only enhanced her expression even more.

2nd Mr & Mrs Williams MOLYNMEUX ZAZEUX 27j F 23-12-2008

The rather gorgeous daughter of my winner. She has large and lustrous eyes which also have excellent definition to the upper lids and super fullness to lower lids and are set very well. They are pale yellow with inner chartreuse rims in this show hall. Face on she has a short wide wedge which tapers to a blunt muzzle. She has a level bite. She has lovely rounding between her ears which are set exceptionally well apart, they are nicely balanced; wide in the base and having rounded tips. She has a typical contour to her upper face. Her profile shows quite good depth to her skull. She has good rounding to her brow. She has a very well defined nose break and a straight nose line, whilst her lower jaw has good depth I still would like a soupcon more; her chin was essentially strong enough. It is correctly aligned to the end of her nose in a straight vertical plane. Her body has good weight for her size, which is still developing but has good muscle tone. She has a straight back and a strong chest. Her stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were slender and elegant. She has dainty oval paws. Her tail balances and tapers very well to a paint brush tip from a medium base. Her coat is short and feel like silk. It is a warm even lilac with pink casting coming along and various shades of cream mingled in. She was shown in excellent condition. She was a little wriggly today (first call?) but handled very well. The apple didn’t fall very far from the tree with this one!

1st Dr Giles’ CH & GRPR RAWEKE MIRROR IMAGE 27 FN 20-08-2007

A very attractive exhibit. She has large and lustrous eyes which have really excellent definition to the upper lids and good fullness to lower lids and are set very well. They are chartreuse in colour. Face on she has a short wide wedge which tapers to a blunt muzzle. She has a level bite a little untidy. She has good rounding between her ears which are set very wide apart; they are nicely balanced; wide in the base and having rounded tips. She has a very typical contour to her upper face. Her profile shows quite good depth to her skull. She has good rounding to her brow. She has a very well defined nose break and a straight nose line which falls away a trifle at the end, whilst her lower jaw has good depth I would prefer greater depth it was set back slightly. Her medium body has good weight for her size and very good muscle tone. She has a straight back and a strong chest. Her stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were elegant. She has charming spoon shaped paws. Her tail only just balances and tapers extremely from a broad base to a rather whippy end. Her coat is short and has super texture. It is deep dark brown in colour. She was shown in very good condition. She was a little unhappy and rather defensive but beautiful none-the-less.

2nd Mrs Tegg’s GRCH & GRPR MINOTOSA PANDORA 27e FN 17-07-2003

Not a happy bunny today. She has medium large eyes which have rather hooded upper lids and round lower lids and are set quite well. They are pale chartreuse in colour. Face on she has a short wide wedge which tapers to a blunt muzzle. She has a level bite. She has gentle rounding between her ears which are set well apart; they are a trifle small to balanced for me, but wide in the base and having rounded tips. Her profile shows quite good depth to her skull. She has good rounding to her brow. She has a very well defined nose break and a straight nose line, whilst her lower jaw has quite good depth and it is correctly aligned, her chin could be firmer. Her large body has good weight for her size. She has a straight back and a strong chest. Her stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were dainty and elegant. She has oval paws. Her tail just balances and tapers very well to a paint brush tip from a medium base. Her coat is quite short and feels like silk. It is deep dark brown with various shades of red mingling in well. She was shown in very good condition. She was not really interested in showing herself off today but handled well enough.

1st Mrs Robinson’s MOLYNMEUX GOLD DUST M 27f M 23-12-2008

Lovely balance to this youngster. Excellent expression to his large and lustrous eyes. They have excellent shape especially in his fully rounded lower lids and have a very good slant to the nose in his upper lids. They are very well set in his pleasing broad head. They are rich golden amber in colour. Face on he has a short wide wedge which tapers well to a blunt muzzle. He has a level bite. He has good rounding to the top of his head. His ears are set well and are in good proportion for the size of his head. They are wide in the base with rounded tips. They have the correct profile tilt. His skull shows good depth in profile. It has a rounded brow and a well defined nose break and a straight nose. His lower jaw has good depth hence his chin has good depth too and sits in the correct plane to the end of his nose. A solid well muscled body with a well rounded chest and a straight back. His legs are elegant yet sturdy and in proportion to his body. They have taller hind legs and have neat oval paws. His tail more than balances to the shoulder and tapers to a paint brush tip from a medium base. It has very good length to it. There are hints of powdering developing in his intense cream coat , he has a few small smudges to his rear legs. His coat has a pleasing satin like texture to it and is very short. A very friendly young man who was shown in super condition.

Class 1114 AC Kitten Never Won a First prize

1st Mrs Bryant’s TRIPOD (LH Red Classic Tabby) F

A very sweet young lady who positively enjoyed being handled and purred away for the entire duration of time together. Beautifully prepared, gorgeous deep red classic tabby pattern to her lovely coat which was super. Lovely streamers and ear tufts. Very nice weight but most importantly an absolute sweetie!

2nd Ms Swingler’s Mr Jinks (SH Ginger & White) M

A sweet little chap who was rather unsure of himself today and preferred to be in his pen. Love broad wedge and such appealing golden eyes. Charming white mitts. Rather lacked show preparation today or perhaps he had a accident on the way to the show? Unfortunately a little too skittish to complete with the winner of the class.

Class 1123 AC LH Kitten with Most Appealing Expression

1st Mrs Morely’s GEORGE (SH Lilac Point Birman) MN

A beautiful cat who was prepared very nicely indeed. He knows a few choice words but this class was judge on Expression – which he had a rather delightful and soulful expression across his china blue eyes. Solid body and pristine coat shown in beautiful condition.

Kentish Cat Society 17-10-2009

My thanks to Helen & the committee for inviting me to judge at the club show. Well done to all those who dress up – I find it hard enough to remember my white coat! My thanks also to Viv for stewarding and handling all the exhibits and the judge so well.

Class 305 Asian Self or Tortie (inc Bombay) Kitten (3 entered, 1 absent)

1st Ms Hutchinson’s KIMANI RAST OF IRREP (72) MN, 10-3-2009 Bombay, Black Asian Self

A rather gangly youngster. He had medium-large sized eyes. They had a good slanting line to the nose in his upper lids and reasonable rounding to lower lids. His eyes were muddy amber in colour. Face on he had a short wedge which was still a little pinched. His bite was level. He had gentle rounding to the top of his head where his ears were set well apart but his head is still developing. They were wide in the base and had nicely rounded tips. His skull had reasonable depth, a gently rounded brow. He has a good nose break his nose line was straight but fell away towards the end and was slightly too long for perfection. His jaw had reasonable depth and was set back a little. His medium sized body had good muscle tone and very good weight to it. He had a strong chest and a straight back. His limbs were in proportion, they were taller in the hind legs and had spoon shaped paws. His tail balanced to the shoulder. It tapered well to a paint brush tip from a medium base. His coat was well coloured to the roots, although he did have several stray white hairs across the back of his neck. His coat was typical of the breed – a real patent leather look to it and very short and had a silky texture. He was very easy to handle and has a very sweet temperament – he purred away the whole time we were with him.

2nd Mr & Mrs Alger-Street’s TYPHA HUNTERSMOON (72) M, 19-05-2009 Bombay, Black Asian Self

A sweet baby boy. He had medium-large sized eyes. They had a good slanting line to the upper lids but his lower lids need to be fuller yet. His eyes were muddy amber in colour. Face on he had a short but medium width wedge. His bite was level. He had gentle rounding to the top of his head where his ears were set well apart. They were wide in the base and had nicely rounded tips. They were too large to balance to his head presently. His skull had reasonable depth, a gently rounded brow and a very good nose break, his nose was straight and quite short. His jaw had reasonable depth and was set back a little. His medium sized body had very good muscle tone and excellent weight to it. His chest is still developing and he has a straight back. His limbs were in proportion, nicely muscled, they were taller in the hind legs and had spoon shaped paws. His tail was short to balance. It tapered well to a rounded end. He coat was generally well coloured to the roots and had some sheen to it. Presently it is rather long, open and kitten-like really which will hopefully rectify itself as he grows. He is a very sweet little chap who hopefully will develop nicely.

1st & BoB Miss Ransom’s CARNUS FIRSTKISS 27, F, 15-02-2009

A kitten of very good overall type. She has large and lustrous eyes which have excellent definition to the upper lids and super fullness to lower lids and are set very well. They are pale yellow in colour with inner chartreuse rims in this show hall. Face on she has a short wide wedge which tapers to a blunt muzzle. She has a level bite. She has lovely rounding between her ears which are set very well apart; they are nicely balanced; wide in the base and having rounded tips. She has a very typical contour to her upper face. Her profile shows quite good depth to her skull. She has good rounding to her brow. She has a very well defined nose break and a straight nose line, whilst her lower jaw has good depth I would like a little more for absolute perfection her chin could be a tad fuller consequently. It is correctly aligned to the end of her nose in a straight vertical plane. Her body has good weight for her size, which is on the dainty side for her age and is nicely balanced. She has a straight back and a strong chest. Her stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were dainty and elegant. She has pretty spoon shaped paws. Her tail balances and tapers very well to a paint brush tip from a medium base. Her coat has a super fine texture and satin like feel to it. It is warm lighter brown at present but will no doubt develop with age. She was shown in excellent condition. She was a little bit moody but handled well enough and I found her look very appealing.

Slightly unbalanced at present but with signs of promise. She has medium large eyes which have a rather gentle slant to the upper lids and good fullness to lower lids, they are set very well. They are pale yellow in colour in this show hall. Face on she her wedge was looking a tad pinched. She has a level bite. She has gentle rounding between her ears which are set very well apart; they are nicely balanced; wide in the base and having rounded tips. Her profile shows reasonably good depth to her skull. She has gentle rounding to her brow. She has a well defined nose break and a straight nose line which is a fraction long at present. Her lower jaw has reasonable depth but I would like a more for perfection and hence her chin could be a tad fuller. It is correctly aligned to the end of her nose in a straight vertical plane. Her body has good weight for her medium size and is nicely balanced. She has a straight back and a strong chest. Her stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were dainty and elegant. She has neat oval paws. Her tail more than balances and tapers very well to a rounded end from a medium base. Her coat is short and is still kitten soft at present. It is a lighter shade of chocolate with various shades of red, some of which were rather pale. She was shown is excellent condition. She was very sweet girl and handled beautifully.

Class 703 AV Foreign Breeder’s Adult Female

1st Mr & Mrs Alger-Street’s TYPHA OLOROSO (72b) F, 10-08-2007 Chocolate Asian Self

A dainty little poppet. She had reasonably large eyes. They had reasonable shape; a gentle slant to the nose in her upper and fully rounded lower lids. They were set well apart in a head that is still developing and needs more width as yet. They were rich coppery amber in colour with a few flecks. Face on she had a short wide wedge which tapers well to a blunt muzzle. She had a level bite although her upper incisors where set slightly back of the lower set they did meet. She had a very gently rounded head, verging on being a trifle flat and ears that are set reasonably well apart but would benefit from being further apart. Her ears had wide bases, had rounded tips and were a good sized for balance. They had reasonable profile tilt. In profile her skull had good depth. She had a very gently rounded brow. Her nose break was defined, her nose line was interrupted by a small bump. She had good depth to her lower jaw which correctly aligned with the end of her nose and gave her chin good depth. Her body was quite small and it felt a little less weighty than I would like but it had good muscle tone. She had a strong chest and a straight back. Her limbs were elegant and in keeping with her body. She had correctly taller hind legs. She had neat oval paws. Her tail balanced well to the shoulder. It tapered from a medium thick base to a rounded end. Her coat was marginally long but sound to the roots which is most impressive in a chocolate self! She could have stood a little more show preparation as her coat improved visibly just from steward’s careful hand grooming. She was an absolutely delightful character, full of the joys, very friendly and loving. I suspect she may well have not long finished nursery duties so was happy to make allowances for her stature today.

2nd Mrs Cragg’s WAKANDA GOODIE BLUESHOOZ (74a) F

A very pleasing Blue Tonkinese who straddles the line between Burmese and Oriental type exactly! Super head with a pleasing profile, suitably set eyes and ears which were large but in keeping with her head. Svelte yet weight body with a delightfully soft coat with a satin like texture which felt as though it had been glued into place – hair by hair. Tail just balanced and has elegant limbs. Prepared beautifully and shown in excellent health – a charmer to meet today.

Her stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were dainty and slender. She has neat oval paws. Her tail balances and tapers very well to a paint brush tip from a medium base. 1st Mrs Bones’ SYKRIS TODIEFOR 27b, F, 03-07-2008

A beautiful young girl – rather gorgeous. She has large and lustrous eyes which have gentle definition to the upper lids and super fullness to lower lids and are set very well. They are golden yellow in colour. Face on she has a short wide wedge which tapers to a blunt muzzle. She has a level bite. She has correct rounding between her ears which are set very well apart; being wide in the base and having rounded tips and balancing her head nicely. She has a very typical contour to her upper face. Her profile shows quite good depth to her skull. She has good rounding to her brow. She has a very well defined nose break and an essentially straight nose line with a small bump in the middle, whilst her lower jaw has good depth I would like a little more for absolute perfection which would give her chin a tad fuller appearance but that is a very minor quibble. It is correctly aligned to the end of her nose in a straight vertical plane. Her body has good weight for her size. She has a straight back and a strong chest. Her stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were dainty and elegant in keep with her body. She has neat oval paws. Her tail balances and tapers very well to a paint brush tip from a medium base. Her coat is short and satin like feel to it, fitting her like the proverbial glove. It is warm honey toned chocolate in colour with minimal contracted to her extremities. She was shown in excellent condition. She was a very sweet girl and pleasure to handle today.

2nd Mrs Hoal’s YORCAT FINN 27a, M, 14-12-01

This chap looks very youthful for his almost 8 years of age – I could have taken him for a much younger cat. He has reasonably large eyes, his upper lids have acceptable slants to the nose and pleasing rounding to lower lids, they are set well apart and are pale chartreuse in colour with a mascara effect to the rims. He has a short but medium width wedge and has a level bite. Gentle rounding between ears that are a good size, balanced and are set as well apart as they can on this narrow head. His skull has reasonable depth, a rounded brow, a good nose break and he has a straight nose line which is a too long for perfection. His lower jaw had acceptable depth and was correctly set in an aligning vertical plane to the end of his nose, chin needs to be much fuller for perfection. His medium sized body needs more weight, he has a strong chest and straight back. His limbs are in proportion and have good stance. He has oval paws. His tail balances and tapers well to a paint rounded end. His coat is short and has good texture, it is a mid toned blue with very nice silvering in parts. He handled well for us.

She was a little shy but handled very well – such an attractive exhibit!

2nd Mrs Jeffery’s CH ISSAMEE KATSPELL SUPNOVA 27d M 25-08-2008

A super lad! He has large and lustrous eyes, his upper lids have reasonable slants to the nose I would like more definition still and good rounding to lower lids, they are set well apart and they are amber in colour. Occasionally he hooded over his upper lids which tends to spoil their expression a little. He has a short wide wedge, it tapers well to a broad blunt muzzle and has a level bite. Gentle rounding between ears that are a good size, balanced very well and are set well apart. He has a pleasing contour to his upper face. His skull has reasonable depth, a rounded brow, his nose break is good and he has a straight nose line. His lower jaw had reasonable depth which was set back marginally, his chin could be a fraction fuller for perfection. His large body has good weight and excellent muscle tone, he has a strong chest and straight back. His limbs are in proportion and have good stance – they are very solid and masculine. He has oval paws. His tail is just short to balance and tapers well to a paint brush end. His coat is reasonably short and has good texture, it is a pleasing tangerine red with a few smudges to his rear legs. A lovely chap who handled very well!

A kitten of very good overall type. She has medium-large eyes which have gentle lines to her upper lids and good rounding to lower lids and are set well. They are muddy golden yellow in colour. Face on she has a short wedge which is slightly pinched at present but tapers to a fairly blunt muzzle. She has a level bite. She has gentle rounding between her ears which are set very wide apart; they are fractionally small for my taste yet wide in the base and having rounded tips. In profile she shows reasonable depth to her skull. She has good rounding to her brow. She has a good nose break and a straight nose line which falls away to the nose leather a little, whilst her lower jaw has reasonable depth I would like a little more for absolute perfection her chin could be fuller also. It is correctly aligned to the end of her nose in a straight vertical plane. Her medium sized body has good weight – she is growing well. She has a straight back and a strong chest. Her stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were dainty and elegant. She has neat oval paws. Her tail balances and tapers very well to a rounded end from a medium base. Her coat has a fine texture. It is warm light honey toned chocolate with a warm milk chocolate mask. She was shown in excellent condition. She was a little shy but handled very well.

What a happy chap! I think he must be going through a growth spurt at present as he was rather unbalanced in that growing kitten kind of way. He has medium sized eyes, his upper lids have very gentle slants to the nose and good rounding to lower lids, they are set as far apart as they can be at present and are muddy golden in colour. He has a short medium width wedge which is a little pinched today, he has a level bite. Gentle rounding between ears that are large in size at present and are set as far apart as they can on his slightly narrow head. His skull has reasonable depth, a rounded brow, his nose break was lacking definition today and he has a straight nose line which fell away marginally toward the nose leather. His lower jaw had acceptable depth and was set back, his chin was lacking due to this. His body has good weight and muscle tone, he has a strong chest and straight back. His limbs are in proportion and have good stance. He has neat oval paws. His tail balances and tapers well to a rounded end. His coat is reasonably short and lies close to the body, it is a warm honey toned chocolate with quite dark contrast to his face and extremities. Shown in excellent condition and having a super happy disposition he was pleasure to handle.

A rather immovable object : he just lay there making heavy work for my steward! He has large and lustrous eyes, his upper lids have good slants and good rounding to lower lids, they are set well apart and pale chartreuse in colour. They really did have a super expression! He has a short wide wedge, it tapers quite well to a blunt muzzle and has a level bite. He has especially good width at the cheeks. Gentle rounding between ears that are a good size, balanced and are set well. He has a very pleasing contour to his upper face. His skull has reasonable depth, a rounded brow, his nose break has very good definition and he has a straight nose line with minor falling away to the nose leather at the very end. His lower jaw had reasonable depth and was set back slightly, his chin could be a fraction fuller for perfection. His large body has good weight and muscle tone, he has a strong chest and straight back. His limbs are in proportion and have good stance. He has spoon shaped paws. His tail balances and tapers well to a paint brush tip. His coat is short and has good texture, it is a deep rich brown with a sprinkling of white hairs that do not detract in my opinion. He seems to have a zen-like presence and was very peaceful.

2nd Mrs Power’s UK IGRPR MAINMAN BURMASTAR FN 19-5-2001

A very relaxed lady. She has reasonably large and lustrous eyes which have good definition to the upper lids and fullness to lower lids and are set very well. They are pale golden yellow in colour with an inner chartreuse rim. Face on she has a short wide wedge which tapers to a reasonably blunt muzzle which I would prefer to be a little broader for perfection. She has a level bite. She has gentle rounding between her ears which are set very well apart; they are nicely balanced; wide in the base and having rounded tips. Her profile shows good depth to her skull. She has good rounding to her brow. She has a well defined nose break and a straight nose line, whilst her lower jaw has good depth and was set back slightly, I would like a little more depth for perfection; her chin could be a tad fuller consequently. Her large body has good weight for her size. She has a straight back and a strong chest. Her stance shows correctly taller hind legs they are elegant. She has neat oval paws. Her tail is too short to balance and tapers very well to a rounded end. Her coat is short and has a satin like texture. It is rich warm brown in colour. She was shown in excellent condition. She was extremely relaxed and handled beautifully!

They are pale yellow-chartreuse in colour. Face on she has a short wide wedge which tapers to a good blunt muzzle. She has a level bite. She has a very typical contour to her upper face. Her profile shows quite good depth to her skull. She has good rounding to her brow. She has a well defined nose break and a straight nose line, whilst her lower jaw has good depth I would like a little more for absolute perfection her chin could be a tad fuller consequently. It is correctly aligned to the end of her nose in a straight vertical plane. Her body has good weight for her medium size – real solid muscle tone, a very pleasing feeling to her. She has a straight back and a strong chest. Her stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were slender and elegant. She has pretty spoon shaped paws. Her tail balances and tapers very well to a paint brush tip from a medium base. Her coat is short and has a lovely satin texture. It is warm golden chocolate on the body with a milk chocolate contrast to her mask and is well mingled with various shades of red. She was shown in excellent condition. She was a little feisty but so gorgeously naughty!

2nd Miss Norris’ VIELBRE MINETTE MIGNONNE 27b FN 12-6-2002

This exhibit had a very appealing head. She has large and lustrous eyes which have super definition to the upper lids and good fullness to lower lids and are set very well. They are chartreuse in colour. Face on she has a short wide wedge which tapers to a lovely blunt muzzle. She has a level bite. She has lovely rounding between her ears which are set very well apart; they are nicely balanced; wide in the base and having rounded tips. She has a typical contour to her upper face. Her profile shows quite good depth to her skull. She has good rounding to her brow. She has a well defined nose break and a straight nose line, whilst her lower jaw has good depth I would like a little more for absolute perfection and it was set back a fraction; her chin could be a tad fuller for preference. Her large body has perhaps too much weight. She has a straight back and a strong chest. Her stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were elegant. She has spoon shaped paws. Her tail balances and tapers very well to a paint brush tip from a medium base. Her coat is a trifle long but has a satin like texture. It is very warm and even chocolate in colour. She was shown in excellent condition but could loose a little weight – couldn’t we all? She handled beautifully and was very sweet!

An exhibit whose mood only enhances her expression. Face on she has a short wide wedge which tapers to a nice blunt muzzle. She has a level bite. She has lovely rounding between her ears which are set very well apart; they are nicely balanced; wide in the base and having rounded tips. She has a very typical contour to her upper face. Her profile shows reasonably good depth to her skull. She has good rounding to her brow. She has a very well defined nose break and a straight nose line, whilst her lower jaw has good depth I would like a little more for perfection it was set back very marginally but her chin somehow still had presence. Her large body has good weight and muscle tone. She has a straight back and a strong chest. Her stance shows correctly taller hind legs which were elegant. She has pretty spoon shaped paws. Her tail is just short to balances but it tapers very well to a paint brush tip from a medium base. Her coat is short and has a satin like feel. It is an intense rich cream with powdering evident on her head and back. She was shown in excellent condition, a trifle heavy maybe. She was a little bit moody and a tad naughty with my steward.

2nd Mrs Simpson’s PR PAPAGENA XANDER 27b MN 9-9-2007

Very unlucky to meet the winner a boy with a super head. He has large and lustrous eyes, his upper lids have very good slants and good rounding to lower lids, unfortunately he tends to round them in anger, they are set well apart and are medium golden yellow in colour. They really did have a super expression when relaxed. He has a short wide wedge, it tapers quite well to a good blunt muzzle and has a level bite. Good rounding between ears that are a good size, balanced and are set well apart. He has a pleasing contour to his upper face. His skull has good depth, a rounded brow, his nose break has good definition and he has a straight nose line. His lower jaw had good depth and was correctly set in an aligning vertical plane to the end of his nose, his chin had good presence. His large body has good weight and muscle tone, he has a strong chest and straight back. His limbs are in proportion and have good stance. He has spoon shaped paws. His tail only just balances and tapers well to a paint brush tip from a medium base.
